There are a few possible answers.

The different location is from an alternate timeline. Memory is a discrepancy.
The difference is an update. Memory is updated as well.
Did God change his mind? Who can say!

My point was that if the location was different, the ocean currents and weather patterns would also be different. But people who remember it being in a different location never remember these other things being different as well.

You're not answering the objection.

Let me try to explain this as simply as I can:

- If NZ had been in a significantly different place, it would have a large effect on ocean currents and global weather patterns
- People living in this supposed alternate world would notice these things
- People who claim to remember NZ being in a different place never mention remembering such large global ocean current and weather changes
- Therefore, it is far more likely that their memories are simply incorrect

Again, you're missing the point. If people from the 'other timeline' remember NZ being in a different place, they would also remember the weather alterations, but they don't.
