But the people in this country who claim the unique right to speak for God tell us in the name of Christ that Covid is no big thing and that realistic measures to control the pandemic are part of an atheistic socialist conspiracy to attack the Christian faith. And there is no doubt that our inadequate response to the pandemic is in good part due to the President's desire to pander to their lurid fantasy.

While not aimed at anyone specifically, you will know them by their fruits[1] because false teachers, false prophets, and false Christians were foretold by the Holy Bible.[2]

No. Donald Trump's supporters speak only for white, right-wing Evangelical Protestants. According to them, the rest are merely pretending to be Christians. They insist that prudent measures to contain the pandemic are really part of an atheistic socialist conspiracy to deny their religious freedom. They insist that any steps to combat global warming are really an atheistic socialist plot to destroy Christianity. The insist that any form of gun control at all is an atheistic socialist conspiracy to confiscate the guns that loyal patriotic Christians need to protect themselves against atheistic socialists. "Out" LGBTs are an unacceptable threat to their religious liberty. BLM is condemned as a resolutely Marxist organization bent on imposing atheistic tyranny through violent revolution. They demand a monumental border wall to protect the purity of their Christian culture from brown Roman Catholic refugees fleeing failed states in Central America. They want punitive laws against abortion while rejecting proposals which would actually reduce abortion.
