NO LAW MEANS NO GRACE ACCORDING TO GOD'S WORD.

Just providing a different perspective here. According to the belief of some people we are not to believe the Gospels and what Jesus says as Jesus was living in the old covenant and the new covenant had not started when the scriptures teach that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God from Jesus in Matthew 4:4 who was quoting the old testament scriptures from Deuteronomy 8:3.

Many people I believe fail to see that many of the new testament scriptures actually come from the old testament scriptures. In the days of Jesus and the Apostles there was no new testament and their bible was the old testament Torah which testified of JESUS as the coming Messiah and Savior of the world. Our new testament and covenant that we have today in Christ comes from the old Covenant. Together both the old testament and the new testament scriptures make up the Word of God and we are to life by every word of them *2 Timothy 3:16.

Jesus did not come to abolish God's law but as our example came to fulfill it *Matthew 5:17-19 and not one jot or tittle was to pass from it until all is fulfilled. In the new covenant God's law (10 commandments) has the same role it always has and that is to give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken and right doing when obeyed *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; Romans 7:12 and to lead us to Christ that we might be forgiven through faith *Galatians 3:22-25.

Without God's law there is no Grace because it is the law of God that gives us the knowledge of what sin *Romans 3:20 is that leads to Gods' grace and God's love *Matthew 9:12-13; Ephesians 2:8-9. Without God's law we cannot know God's love because Gods' love is expressed through obedience to Gods' law *Romans 13:8-10; James 2:10-11.

We can all be like the Scribes and Pharisees and appear righteous to men *Matthew 23:28 or like those who have a form of godliness but deny God's power *2 Timothy 3:5 and gift of salvation from sin in God's new covenant promise of Hebrews 8:10-12 (from Jeremiah 31:31-36 and Ezekiel 36:24-27; see also John 8:31-36) but this would be a denial of the Word of JESUS where he says "Truly truly I say unto you unless a man is born again he cannot enter into the Kingdom of heaven *John 3:3-7. Unless we are born again to love from the inside out we are only like dead mans bones and all we can do without Jesus is sin *1 John 3:4.

Jesus came to magnify the law from the inside out quoting Matthew 5:17-32 (thoughts and feelings) in fulfillment of *Isaiah 42:21. This is to show that unless our righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees we can in no way enter into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus is saying the problem runs deeper then outward observance to the 10 Commandments. Evil begins in the heart. breaking god's 10 commandments from the heart defile a man *Matthew 15:18-19. Jesus is saying we can be outwardly perfect and blameless like the Scribes and Pharisee but inwardly like dead mans bones *Matthew 23:27-28. Jesus magnified the law to the inside out. To show us that we are all sinners in need of a Savior and that sin originates in the heart (thoughts and feelings). That is why we have the new covenant promise and need to be born again by faith in god's word for salvation to be free from SIN (breaking any one of God's 10 commandments) *Hebrews 8:10-12; 1 John 3:3-10.

If we are not born again into the new covenant promise and continue in it we will not enter the kingdom of Heaven *1 John 2:3-4; 1 John 2:3-4. All those who knowingly break any one of God's 10 commandments stand guilty before God of sin *James 2:10-11. All those who knowingly continue in unrepentant sin will not enter into god's kingdom *Hebrews 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *Romans 6:23. God's 4th Commandment is one of the 10 Commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is. There is no such thing as the 9 commandments in God's WORD. The same as there is no scripture that says God's 4th commandment is Abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day.

Righteousness (right doing) comes from love because love is the fulfilling of god's law and the very expression of what love is *Romans 13:8-10. He that does not love does not know god for god is love * 1 John 4:8. All those who are born again have a new heart to love and follow god *1 John 4:7. This is the new covenant promise *Hebrews 8:10-12. Those who are born again do not practice sin (breaking God's Commandments) *1 John 3:4-9. This is why John finishes on this subject by saying; For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous *1 John 5:3 and is why Jesus says if you love me keep my commandments *JOHN 14:15. Unless we are born again under the new covenant to love we will not enter the kingdom of heaven *JOHN 3:3-7. We need to be changed from the INSIDE OUT to be freed from sin *1 John 3:4-9; John 8:31-36; 1 John 5:3-4.

Now how do we reject the Word of JESUS in the old covenant when it is the old covenant that points to the new?

Blessings all

Imagine if you had a pastor that had to keep interrupting himself saying "oops! pardon my french... wow it is a good thing we don't have to worry about the commandments of God and not taking God's name in vain since we follow Christ".

No one enters God's Kingdom according to the scriptures by practicing known unrepentant sin once they have been given a knowledge of the truth of Gods Word and reject it in order to continue in sin *Acts of the Apostles 17:30-31; Hebrews 10:26-31. Those who are born again do not practice sin according to John in 1 John 3:6-9 where he states sin is breaking Gods law. John also says that we know God by being obedient to God's law in 1 John 2:3 which Paul also says is the fruit of faith in Romans 3:31. John goes on further to state that those who say they know God and do not keep His commandments are not telling the truth in 1 John 2:3-4

Something to pray about.
