As simple message, I urge you.
I was in a conversation with a friend from Malaysia and that is a Muslim country. They face more restrictive measures, put into law, against Christianity.
He told me that the US is in some sense a light to the world regarding Christianity. You could say we are the face of God to the nations. That goes with the Joel Osteen's, John Piper's, and everything in between. Let me tell you, the face of Christianity as far as the world sees it in the US is what they associated with the Christian life. Because we have liberty to practice religious freedom and we choose to follow Christ, as mistaken as that might be, we are a light to the world in some respects.
Let us therefore choose to love our neighbor, whether they be of a strangely appalling political persuasions of those who consider themselves Christians or not.
It is written, 1 Peter 4:8 "Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins."
And in the words of our Lord, John 13:34-35 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this [LOVE] all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
