This is what we have heard:
Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. -Luke 15:1
And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, "This man receives sinners and eats with them." -Luke 15:2
So He told them this parable: -Luke 15:3
The Lord related the parable of the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son as one parable.
For we heard:
"What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? -Luke 15:4
So the Lord considers us who are part of Him when He related “what man of you” ; as we understand Himself as the Son of Man in the parable of the sower.
So, we should consider ourselves a part of Him who go after the ones that are lost, until we together with Him finds the lost sheep.
For the Lord considers :
Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. -Luke 15:7
This He tells to bring us joy as we stand in awe of His grace toward those who repents.
Next, we heard :
"Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? -Luke 15:8
So the Lord consider those who belong to a church have sinners among them. In this instance, the sinners like the lost coin are unaware of their sins and that they are lost in the house.
So the Lord is asking or what those belong to a church, if they lose one sinner, aren’t they enlightened to bring the sinners to repentance?
The Lord reveals to us what is happening in Heaven :
Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents." -Luke 15:10
So we should rejoice together with the angels before God when we are enlightened to bring sinners in the church unto repentance.
For we heard:
And he said, "There was a man who had two sons. -Luke 15:11
Aren’t our Lord Jesus consider Himself as the Son of Man who had two sons.
Aren’t the two sons those who obey and not ?
What the Lord considered for the lost son who return and related to those who obey Him:
It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.'" -Luke 15:32
So those who disobeyed Him who came to themselves like it is written in Luke 15:17 ; were considered dead because of their acts of disobedience and was made alive through Christ by the Heavenly Father when they returned to Him.
Therefore, let us be glad for our brothers who have returned to the Heavenly Father’s side.
So our Lord considers great joy when sinners draw near Him in true repentance like the lost sheep, the lost coin and the lost son.
Let us consider what makes Christ joyful and our Heavenly Father great delight when we serve Him in the new way of the Spirit.
