Need a bit of prayerful guidance and would appreciate responses from seasoned/experienced saints who have been given the gift of discernment/interpretation of dreams and visions.

I think my ds who is 9 had his first vision last night and I kind of get what the Lord is showing me personally but just wanted to test it here (in a "where two or three are gathered" kind of way).

So last night my ds and myself were watching some "Try not to laugh videos" to do with pets and animals, and we were holding a competition with each other to see who could go the longest before laughing out loud. Needless to say I was in the lead until an old clip came up with a news anchor who got scared when a gecko jumped on him :). While I burst out laughing, my son initially was laughing with me, it then seemed as though he was staring at the clip and then he suddenly turned from me and burst into tears. He became distraught, and seemed to cry so hard. For a while he couldn't communicate what had upset him so much. It took a good few minutes of comforting before he could blurt out that he saw me and then he started crying again.

Eventually he was able to explain through tears that one minute he was watching the funny clip and watching me laughing so hard, he then saw an image of me and him in a room - he wasn't sure if it was my bedroom or a hospital room. I was motionless on the bed and non responsive. He said that it was as though I was in a "deep, deep sleep". There were no tubes or medical machinery just me on a bed motionless and he couldn't wake me up. He said that he felt like he was 17 or he was older than his current age.

Long story short I felt led to mention about Joseph in the old testament to ds and how sometimes God gives us a vision so that we can prepare or pray into it (Gen 41:25-36). That it may not necessarily come about when we take it to God. But if it does come about then the Lord will help the person be prepared for it. I got him to pray about the vision, that the Lord intervenes for him if the vision is from the Lord, and fills him with His peace so that my son doesn't worry about it.

The thing that I didn't tell anyone about was that a year of working from home and the Christmas festivities has meant that I am back to more than the weight I was, when my doctor (back in 2016) had told me to make lifestyle changes or else face a cardiac or stroke (ticking time bomb was his words). Before my son came upstairs I had been struggling to breathe whilst sat down, after having a meal and it was only relieved by standing up.

So you can kind of see where I'm going with this as my weight concerns had been between me and God prior to this incident :D

Do you think this refers to anything else or am I on the right track? I'll share a little later the verse I had been reminded of when I'd prayed about my son's vision last night. If you guys come up with the verse then praise be to God as it'll be confirmation for me. :)

Also apologies if I don't get to respond straight away - I'm back at work tomorrow and so may not come back onto CF until next weekend but I appreciate those of you who prayerfully considers this and responds

"'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

Blessings in Christ Jesus! It is the enemy who studies our weaknesses. Sometimes the weaknesses are in the flesh. The food you ate puts pressure on the heart. So the time has come to strengthen the heart, a little at a time. Perhaps short walks are in order. I too, am speaking to myself as I write this. Have a blessed Day!

Amen thank you for this - it certainly was a wake up call.

Im actually wondering if this could mean being spiritually asleep. 17 would be at a time maybe in the future where your son would be older in a spiritual sense, but being in a deep deep sleep may mean physical, but also spiritually speaking, like asleep to spiritual growth and ministry. Both would be good to pray about, to remain strong in your walk spiritually, as well as remaining healthy....
