My reference is to traditional main stream churches that have a long history of success in this area.

I had spiritual problems i recognized i had even when i was 4 or maybe earlier, and i didn't got involved in anything, i was just a kid treated well by their family.

A big error is thinking there is something wrong with the person because they had or have spiritual problems. No!, they take advantage of the silliest of things, or just bully their way in sometimes when people are not believers.

And i don't know why people are obsessed with the word posession, most of the time is not something dramatic like that, instead the evil spirits just stay there, lying, tormenting, hooking you up to sin, deceiving, not letting you believe etc.

@Carl Emerson would tell you this too, a lot of 'OCD' seem to be from evil spirits, yes even in christians.

I had intrusive thoughts, they went away with deliverance 'detecting' a spirit and driving it away.

I think this section with unbelievers maybe is not appropiate to talk about this i don't know.

If you think someone has evil spirits, have faith and touch them. If you lack faith, no amount of physical violence can compensate.

This is the same as saying a doctor tried curing someone hitting them with a baseball bat... really this people has nothing to do with good practices or good christian beliefs.

Most pastors don't even touch the person, they just talk with spiritual authority.

In the catholic tradition, there are specific people given the role of exorcist, the context I was examining was protestant churches where each believer is given this role.

Since it was not said which church the person was part of, it is possible it was catholic. However, based on the region I was assuming something post reformation.

In this case the only thing that left her body was the breath of life.

A defenceless little 4 year old.

Not a case of "Spare the rod etc" throw it away instead.

Not in every protestant denomination.

In the Anglican tradition the ministry is also tightly controlled with only certain individuals released into such service after careful discernment and training.

Also among the less traditional protestant churches, folks may be encouraged to deal with their own spiritual baggage but ministering to other folks usually requires some pastoral consent.

It will be interesting to hear about the relationship between these individuals and the church leadership.
