I have no talent.
When quarantine first began I thought it’d be great to practice my talents.
Until I realized I didn’t have any.
I’ve always wanted to be a dancer since I was a little girl, but of course due to circumstances I never was able.
Ive been in a class for 1 1/2 years but since I have no flexibility the teacher doesn’t do much with me.
I’ve wanted to play piano but once again due to circumstances wasn’t able to.
I’ve wanted to sing since my voice is halfway decent but I will never be able to practice it.
Plus I’m simply too old to have a talent, all my friends who do have been doing it since they were quite young. It’s too late for me to do anything with myself.
What to do? This is making me feel absolutely awful.
Why are you making dead end statements? You are telling yourself you can't, you won't etc. You've trapped yourself in dead end thinking. Step one is to pray and ask God what His will for you is.
Second step is to get training for what you are passionate about and persist. If you tell yourself you can't or won't then you've condemned yourself not to achieve anything.
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan Press On! has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
― Calvin Coolidge
Or as a friend said , "If you never quit, you never fail. The day you quit is the day you fail."
I work professionally in film, giving you tough love, if you quit you've failed. If you tell yourself negative lies, you fail. Now get off your butt, get out there, seek God and go for it, AND DON'T QUIT!
Oh and if your teacher stinks at teaching FIND A NEW TEACHER!
