Have we considered the testimony of the Lord regarding Job ?
This is what we have heard:
And the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from evil?" -Job 1:8
What great praise God gave Job !
What is one of Job’s act of love for his children before God ?
This is what we have heard:
And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and CONSECRATE them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, "It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts." Thus Job did continually. -Job 1:5
Likewise, we also have heard:
While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, "Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother's house, -Job 1:18
and behold, a great wind came across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young people, and they are dead, and I alone have escaped to tell you." -Job 1:19
So,what we can consider about the fate of Job’s children :
This is what we have heard:
In the fear of the LORD one has strong confidence, and his children will have a refuge. -Proverbs 14:26
Since God testified that Job fear Him, this is the confidence that Job received that Job’s children find a refuge in God.
Have we feared God ? Have we consecrated or sanctify our children with the word of God ?
So, purify our children with the word of God, they may grow up into deliverance and find refuge in God.
Let us love our children earnestly from a pure heart, since we have been born again, not of perishable seed but of imperishable, through the living and abiding word of God.
