This line appears in the parable commonly known as the Prodigal Son (although Jesus never calls it that, and says that a man has two sons who both feature in the story):

My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.

What does he mean by "everything I have is yours?"

basically firstborn ought to get 2/3 of the inheritance , his brother got 1/3 and went away so whatever father has is left fot the firstborn son

the firstborn son gets angry that they celebrate the returning of his brother because he never had any celebration like this made for him , like he is asking why u reward wrong doing and me who worked and was obedient is not rewarded?

The father's love was to both brothers, the faithful and the prodigal?

Well, to answer your question, you've got to go back to Luke 15:2 and see what the question really was.

Luke 15:1-2 = "Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”

Now that the Pharisees and scribes were grumbling about the "sinners" - Jesus gives THREE parables about lost things. The lost sheep, coin, and son. He stresses the rejoicing of the person who lost the sheep, coin, and son when thee are found.

The players of the last parable:

  • The father = God, the Father
  • The son who stayed home and was angry = the Pharisees and scribes [and Sadducees]
  • The son who was prodigal [wasteful] = the tax collectors and "sinners"
When Jesus says that the father told the oldest son who grumbled and complained about the father's rejoicing over the lost son now recovered that "you have always been with me - whatever I have is yours" - he is telling these religious leaders whose heart's are as hard as Pharaoh's that they - being leaders - have ALWAYS had the opportunity for a relationship with the Father and now with Jesus, but they only care about power, authority, and money [Luke 16 - next chapter].

These people of ill repute and low degree came swarming "home" to Jesus - the Pharisees should have REJOICED. But they only grumbled and complained like the older brother in the story.

It's a reference to inheritance. The prodigal son had squandered his, but still remained a son. But the other son still had his inheritance coming from his father, which was everything he had at that point (having already given the prodigal his share).
