Bethlehem Star? Look up in the Sky Rare Conjunction

Not seen since 1226AD on the Winter Solstice, the darkest day of the year

Jupiter and Saturn to Shine Like the Christmas Star on the winter Solstice

In combination with the shortest day of the year, the winter solstice, Dec 21 will be a Rare Conjunction of our solar systems two biggies, Saturn and Jupiter.

Not actually a 'star' but the combined brightness of the two lining up will look like a bright star.

It's being called a 'Great Conjunction', some others calling it the Christmas Star as they believe the 'Star of Bethlehem' as told about in the Bible may have been a planetary conjunction.

It will be seen in the Southwest (from the US on the east coast) just after sunset (5pm) and before 8 p.m.

Also at this time the Ursid Meteor Shower coincides with this event. This will be seen in the North West near the North Star.

Notice the combination of Jupiter with Saturn

Jupiter has that big red spot and Saturn has the 'rings' around it. At the front of the dove you see this combined conjunction.

You can see how the rings of Saturn, and the spot and stripes of Jupiter are combined. That to me says a specific time frame.

Wonder what it means?
