Hello,

It says in Matthew 6:20, "But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal"

What are these "treasures in heaven"?

Thanks
Read the entire message ..."Lay not up ..
It has more to do with treasures on earth and how there is no comparison to that which is recieved in the second life. It is a warning. Blessings.

Different disciples receive different rewards ( like in parable of talents servants got one or multiple city to rule over )

Feeding poor , teaching , sharing gospel ect get you rewards

If I understand your question though, you seem to be asking if these 'treasures' are specific tangible things that can be stacked up and quantified. That is, if you do better than me down here on earth, will you have a bigger pile?

I don't believe that's how it works. The 'treasure' we secure in Heaven is our own salvation and eternal life. And MAYBE, the people who we bring with us who, by our own examples and good works find their way to Christ.

Treasures. Christ here refers to wealth in the broad sense of
all material possessions. The love of money was the ruling passion
of thousands in the time of Christ, as it is of millions today.

Moth and rust. Every material possession is affected in one way
or another by loss, decay, depreciation, or deterioration.

There won't be any sin in heaven ... the treasures are living with God in that environment and He will provide everything we need. Nothing will decay in heaven.
