What did he teach us?
Many things, but it all comes to this...

Where did he come from?
“In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”

why do we need Him?
To connect us back to our Creator, Father God. To save us from eternal separation from God. To unite us with the Father. To remind us of our identity. To make us a new creation...
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

How is he important?
He was the fulfillment of a Promise God gave to the world right after Adam and Eve sinned (disconnected) from the Spirit of God. He was prophesied as the one who will have the victory over satan. Because He had the victory, now everyone who believes in Jesus have the victory as well.
“Then the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all animals, domestic and wild. You will crawl on your belly, groveling in the dust as long as you live. And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel.” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:14-15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Who needs him?
““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What did he teach us? That's an extremely BROAD topic. We could, after all, include everything that He said to us in the Bible (everything in red ink). On the topic of "why do we need Him" (in His own words), this verse comes to mind first:

Where did he come from? He was sent to us from Heaven by His Father .. John 6:46. He is also from Everlasting .. Isaiah 9:6.

Why do we need Him? WOW, another extremely BROAD topic, so here is just a small part of the answer.

The Lord Jesus is our Creator, Sustainer and Advocate .. John 1:1-4, Colossians 1:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1-2, and He is our Redeemer, our Savior and our Lord. He is our only innocence, our only righteousness, the only atonement and satisfaction for our sins and for His Father's wrath, and our only hope of reconciliation and eternal life with God in Glory .. John 3:16, 18, 5:24; Romans 5:8-10; Hebrews 9:22, 10:4; 1 John 5:11-12.

How is he important? See the answers I just gave to your last question.

Who needs him? EVERYONE! Of course, most are not aware that they do.

1- He taught us who,what,when,where,why and how it was necessary for God to became man on our behalf to reconcile us to Him. He did what we were not able to do under the Law- Be Perfect and fulfill it as man was incapable of doing and failed. The Incarnation was necessary as Jesus was the Lamb who was slain before the foundation of the world. It was Gods plan before creation to redeem us from the curse of sin. He taught us what Divine Love looks like being lived out and that we are to be imitators of Christ. All men will know you are My disciples by your love for one another. Love covers a multitude of sins. Love God with all your heart, mind and soul and your neighbor- on these 2 rest all the commandments. The Royal law of love if you keep it are doing what is right !
Love is the first fruit of the spirit that all other fruit derives itself from as its love in action. Love kind, patient, doesn't boast, not proud, not self seeking, not angered, keeps no records of offense, does not delight in sin/evil, rejoices in truth, protects, trusts, hopes all things and perseveres. Love never fails. Faith , Hope and Love remain but the greatest of these is LOVE.

Jesus is Love in the flesh, God is Love- And God became man and dwelled among us and we beheld His Glory. The greatest act of love ever seen was the life, death, burial, Resurrection/Ascension of Jesus- The Gospel.

2- Heaven where God dwells- The Eternal Son stepped down from heaven in humility as per Philippians 2.

I need him to be saved.

For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
John 3:17
