And what about the healthy people that take care of their body that end up dying of cancer?

We eat foods with additives know to cause cancer. We pollute the air with stuff that causes cancer. We eat foods that cause heart attacks and strokes. No individual is responsible for this screwed up world. Mankind as whole is. Mankind rapes the environment, drives others species into extinction. Everyone wants to blame god or the devil or the government but more often then not it is the decisions we make in this life that decide our fate. The devil can only do what you allow him to do. God gave us free will to decide our own fates. Could he fix everything and make all of our lives easy sure...but we would learn nothing we would be drones. I will take free will and all the good and all the bad every time.

Lucifer who would eventually trick billions of people to go to hell? Lucifer tricks humans through any activity that does not glorify God, through vanity,( if you wear makeup, false nails or jewelry you are going to hell unless you repent and stop), video games, cartoons, secular music, movies, profanity, etc. In fact, all the things in our culture the devil has tricked us into thinking they are no big deal- will land us in hell unless we repent. Taking birth control, smoking, using hair dye, wearing tight clothing, are all displeasing to God. So why would God create and allow this creature to wreck havoc on mankind if He loves us? I have posted a video below..

The devil tricks know one...the bible does not specifically mention god warning Adam and eve about the devil but I am sure he did. In the case of Adam and Eve they let curiosity get the better of themselves and ignored gods warning. Your question could be why would god make man when he knew man would disobey him. First and foremost I see god as creator, an architect, he needs to create. The angels including the devil are also his children. Tell me something if you knew your child was gonna make bad decisions in there life would you chose to not have them. And the devil and the angles have free as well he could have chosen not to disobey his father. Everyone hates the devil but can imagine the agony of watching your beloved child turn into a monster and know at the final judgment your child will suffer for eternity. I do not begin to try and understand the reasoning of god.

What about the child born into poverty, who dies of starvation at 7?

Why was that child born in poverty, because of the decisions of there parents. Again mankind has made this world what it is. We are actually at a point in history were poverty, hunger, disease could easily be a thing of the past. The reason that does not happen is because the world does not demand it. Most people care about themselves and there own blood and they do not care about the world as a whole. I have heard more than one person and many of them claiming to be Christian say why is it my problem, on things like the poor, the handicapped, abused children, abusing the environment. Its not my problem is the common thing I here. And those people the ones who claim to be Christian are going to be very surprised come judgment day.

But you said that "God gave us free will to decide our own fates" This statement is easily demonstrated as false. The child born into a third world country who dies of starvation before puberty was not able to decide their own fate.

And humanity as whole could eliminate third world country's, poverty, disease at this point. To do that MANKIND, HUMANITY...would have to follow one of Christ's most important law. Love your neighbor as yourself. How much work does Pat Robertson, Kenneth Copland, Joel Osteen...every televangelist on the planet do to end it. Because the combined income of these tax exempt churches could end it. Christianity make trillions...not millions, or billions, but trillions every year. And I think come judgement day those televangelist who are sitting in there mansions are going to find themselves in hell. Christianity's wealth put on a good show but they are living in 20 million dollar mansions while children starve to death. Again man you can blame god or the devil if you want, but the truth is it is humanity who is responsible for the giant mess that the world is in.

Well now you’re changing what you said. First it was the individual was responsible. Now you’re saying that some individuals are innocent but mankind in general is guilty?

Dude I said mankind is responsible. Again we have come far enough that we eradicate poverty, hunger, disease. That is with in mankind's ability now. But if you want to blame god or devil or whoever go for it. What I was trying to say and you know what I am saying is most of the worlds problems lie at mans feet. And your just trying to argue so I am done with this topic have a nice day

Dude I said mankind is responsible.
Didnt sound like it when you said:

The devil can only do what you allow him to do. God gave us free will to decide our own fates.
Again, I wonder what the 7 year old in a third world country dying from dehydration thinks of that statement.

Honestly, you sound like a single, white, millennial who lives in America.

Hi,
Sorry, I didn't get a chance to read all the responses. I just joined and the topic really popped out at me. I was kind of shocked at some the responses though. I'm not sure why some thought it was a bad question. I'm thinking we should be able to ask questions to get to the truth. If I'm not mistaken Jesus's disciples asked questions all the time.

Anyway, where did you come to the conclusion that God is all-knowing? I'm not saying that God is not, I'm just wondering. It sounds a bit New-Agey to me and I've seen a lot of this stuff in the New Age type forums. From my reading and interpretation, it doesn't appear that God is all-knowing. For example, it didn't seem like God expected for us to behave the way we have after he created us. It was after he created that God said a mistake was made. There are other things as well such as when God chose certain people to do certain things and they ended up sinning and regretted it. If the all-knowing thing is in the Bible then it will be on my list of other contradictions to sort out in order to get a better understanding of the truth.

If God is not all-knowing then it would make sense why God would allow evil in to this world. You can't catch a thief if the thief knows that you are watching.

Those are excellent points! Yes I got some backlash for asking the question when I honestly was not siding one way or another. People assumed a lot of things about me like I was biased but I was just wondering what people thought because sometimes it feels unfair that we have to fear going to hell for something we didn't do. Like we didn't eat from that apple and we didn't ask to be put on earth. Yet hear we are battling this enormous highly intelligent being who hates us with a passion, and he is trying to trick us and tempt us so he can eternally torture us and we cannot even see him! Yeah, that is quite the 8 ball! It just makes me so sad because children who have Atheist parents know nothing of Jesus Christ and many of them grow up to be decent people but they are ignorant to the Word and it makes me sad because they do not have a clue what awaits them on the other side yet they never stood a chance.

I'm not sure, though I think the question could be more easily put as why would God create even one entity with the capacity to sin? Forget about Satan. Despite the great influence he has humankind is responsible for their own evil. God created us knowing this.

Perhaps the glory in overcoming evil is worth it, when compared to a life where there is no risk. Where love is not voluntarily given to God by a free agent, but instead preprogramed into the creature. It would be pretty pathetic for a computer programmer to create a program that loves him unconditionally. It would be perhaps more challenging if that program had sentience and could chose to love or reject the programmer.

Disagree on your list of things of Video-games, Comics and secular music being necessarily evil. A great deal of it might be inclined towards evil ends but the consumption of it is not necessarily a bad thing.

Maybe, just a thought... ... .
The trick of the devil is to get everyone running around afraid of God, life, the universe and everything (42). Fear.
Maybe the purpose of Lucifer is to provide an adversary that scaremongers us - we are to rise above fear and choose faith, love and God??

It is basically the idea that what is not of God is of the devil and he has had over 5000 years to devise schemes and ways to trip up mankind into going to hell and these modern things are not clear to us in a book written 2000 years ago. Most do disagree with that list and even I don't like it as I enjoy Soul Caliber and secular music myself. I am not a perfect person condemning anyone. I have just been enlightened about these principalities and wanted to warn people. Video games do seem to be getting darker and darker and World of Warcraft and the such makes people seriously freak out. Their influence on some people is disturbing. Your view is to be expected and I understand.

This seems to be inline with the thought that God really is not all-knowing or He wouldn't have felt the need to tempt Eve. However, Eve displayed something characteristic of all mankind: "That we can be tempted". Since he knows we can be tempted, God apparently took it a step further and wanted to see who could be tempted by Evil. After all, Lucifer was tempted and tried to take over Heaven. I'm guessing that God wants to know who can be attempted to do Evil before going in to Heaven. I can't say I blame Him.

and we didn't ask to be put on earth.
Are you sure about this? God said, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you" Jeremiah 1:5. Just a thought.

Yet hear we are battling this enormous highly intelligent being who hates us with a passion

If you could see the World from God's eyes, the corruption, the stuff we do to the Earth, and all the stuff that we do to each other, you may find that you hate mankind as well.
For God so loved the world, He gave his only Begotten Son. Even though I may tend to agree with what you said. This passage is contrary. I think Jesus may have put us back in to God's good graces.

tempt us so he can eternally torture us and we cannot even see him!

If someone brutally tortures and kills your mother, would you expect the same justice bestowed on that person? Or is what your are saying only apply to the innocent? Just trying to get more clarification. I'm sure there is more to this than what you're saying, because I sure don't think I would have a problem if someone who brutally beat and killed your mother was tortured.

It just makes me so sad because children who have Atheist parents know nothing of Jesus Christ and many of them grow up to be decent people but they are ignorant to the Word and it makes me sad because they do not have a clue what awaits them on the other side yet they never stood a chance.

If someone grew up in a rough neighborhood, participated in gang violence, killed and murdered ruthlessly, would you sentence him to punishment or would you let them off the hook because they didn't grow up in the same privileged neighborhood and a good upbringing as others?

I think it's interesting how we can read the same Bible but come away with different feelings.

No I am referring to the innocent. Someone who commits horrific evil against other people and murders deserves hell but someone who is say just a salesman who lies a little to make his sales, or says a car runs and drives great when he has never driven it but is actually a pretty decent person otherwise but does not know Jesus. The fact that they may be given the same fate is horrific to me.

God is all knowing. He knows the beginning and he knows the ending. It was all done in his mind before he put it into play. So there are no surprises. He knows everything that is going to happen. There are no big events that will change the outcome of anything. God knew that people would act as they do. The evil is in the world, because God has to weed out the good from the bad.

Thank you. That's what I thought you were saying - just wanted to make sure.

You're thoughts aren't much different from many Christians. I actually think it's what turns many Christians toward the New Age ideology.

When you first read the Bible you're thinking of this wrathful vengeful God. He wiped out many tribes. But if you dig in it's history, I think you would see why God would want to wipe them out. The Bible doesn't seem to mention most of it. The tribes He wiped out would do crazy stuff like sacrifice babies, torture and mutilate slaves, women, and children, drink blood, etc. These practices started to permeate the world - even the Israelites started adopting those practices. All for a made-up God who did nothing for them. I don't think you would have a problem wiping those people either just as you wouldn't have a problem wiping out all of the Nazis.

Also, many Christians seem to believe it's just as simple as if you know Jesus you go to heaven. If you don't know Jesus you go to hell. I've seen it taught this way many times. However, I don't think it's quite that simple. Or else there would be no day of judgement. There would even be a need for Evil to exist because then it would just be about do you know Jesus or do you not know Jesus?

I believe you are getting the idea from this verse: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Right? If not, please let me know if there is something else.

This is very much open to interpretation. I take this to mean that He will stand in judgement and I don't think it's going to be about did you know me or not know me. I think it's going to be more about what's in your heart. Some people will watch their life review and be sorry. Some people will watch it and take pleasure in the misery they caused for other people. They won't be able to hide it just as a serial killer can't hide that they're not really sorry for all those people they killed. They may say it, but we know it won't be true. People will try to repent be sorry and will find that they can't. We that follow Jesus's teachings have an advantage because He did teach us things like how to actually repent and be sorry. I think the key is learning to love your neighbor. I think if you followed Jesus's teaching and you repent and actually be sorry then you will have a much easier time in judgement.

I've researched a lot of Near Death Experiences. Based on what I've researched, most seem to go to heaven. The ones that end up in Hell seem to eventually get saved. I've seen a lot of Youtubers discuss their dreams and visions saying they have seen good people in Hell simply because they didn't believe in Jesus. I'm not sure I buy in to dreams and visions. These things are just deeply rooted in to what they believe whether it's true or not true.

God is all knowing. He knows the beginning and he knows the ending.

Sure, God can prophesy and make predictions just like how I can predict how my step-son's life would end up just by looking at his behaviors.

God knew that people would act as they do.

Is this scriptural or you're own personal opinion? If scriptural, then I'd love to see the passages.
