it's a vaccine, just like others. I would avoid any of the conspiracy theory stuff that has come out.
I agree, it’s a little tricky as my best friend was raised by Conspiracy Theorists :(

Father, from a priests level have you seen, or heard any chatter regarding the proximity/closeness to fetal tissue in conjunction with the current vaccines?

I realize this is largely a medical issue, and not a theological one, but I was just curious if/whether you may have heard anything from any other Chaplains, priests, or bishops.

Or is this something I should ask my local Chaplain, or Public Affairs about?

I’ve read that there is no fetal cells or anything like that used for the creation or in the actual vaccine but I’m not sure which one because there is two.
Only in development.
*edit*
I found
“Vaccines created by Pfizer and Moderna, the first two vaccines coming on the market for the public, are “morally acceptable” because neither company used “fetal cell lines from an aborted baby” during production, the letter states. But the companies both relied on those cells during lab tests, the bishops said”
Source
Colorado bishops warn Catholics about morality of COVID-19 vaccines, citing fetal cells

forgive me if you had already known.

Gates is just upset that Microsoft never developed a good cellphone. Apple and Google are the ones tracking us... and Facebook, Amazon, Instagram, oh good lord people. We go out and buy stuff that tracks us. The evil conspiracy hardly needs to do this with a vaccine!

Indeed. As people say, "Never go Full Heers". His (and some others) madness has been exposed in full measure over the last 10 months or so, and I would take anything said or written by him with a HUMONGOUS grain of salt.

The COVID-19 situation has exposed some great issues within the Church hierarchy with rogue priests or even bishops going against the Holy Synod's decisions, condeming everyone else as faithless rationalists, co-perpetrators of some evil plan to control the humankind under the rule of Anti-Christ and so forth.

Obviously there have been mistakes made concerning how this whole situation has been handled within the Church but these guys just go WAY out there and are tip-toeing on the verge of schism. In their mind they are the only ones right and the 99,% wrong and betraying the Church. make of it what you will but I say it's pure plani, prelest.

I have no need to take it due to having antibodies and immunity. But, I would say I don’t trust it due to the speed at which it was developed. However, I would say that we don’t need tracking due to having phones on us 24/7. So the vaccine will not be used for tracking, I don’t think. Overall, I don’t think that there is a need for someone to get the vaccine unless they are in a high-risk category (a very small subsection of our society... and the world).

I saw something from a medical website yesterday. They had a jump start on the vaccine because of the SARS and MERS outbreaks in the 2000s. https://www.mayoclinicproceedings.org/article/S0025-6196(20)30827-2/fulltext

Read the book of Revalation once... Full of conspiracies.

This vaccine is much more than just another vaccine. I won't go into conspiracy theories on this but there's too many questions to just embrace it.

It messes with our messenger RNA and plays like a computer programmer for our proteins and responses. My wife is one of the first offered the vaccine at her hospital and she’s seriously considering skipping it.

Father Heers is a priest in the Orthodox Church. Question his personal thoughts if you will but please do so in a respectful manner.

These are serious concerns. I'm just not educated enough to talk about it. I'm educated enough to make the decision to abstain at this time though.

I don’t think anyone on earth is educated enough for this. A rushed vaccine that manipulates MRNA could have far-reaching consequences....or none at all. I agree with your cautious skeptical abstention!
