I can make those statements because they are absolutely true.
Oh. Okay. You can because you say they're true.
And you yell.
A lot of Christian men are homophobic, and many suffer from internalized homophobia.
And you make blanket statements, and mass-diagnose "a lot of Christian men" with whatever.
A classic example is Elizabeth Smart's father
And your example is one guy, who is apparently "a lot of Christian men".
who had 6 children and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Scratch that, he's actually a Mormon, so he's not a Christian (FYI: Mormons are not Christians not only according to anyone who knows anything about the theology of Mormonism, but
according to the rules of this website).
So your example of the ways in which "a lot of Christian men are homophobic" is one non-Christian man who is in a gay relationship.
I see.
Here is a thread in this forum:
80% of Vatican Priest are gay
Here is an
actually self-evident fact: 80% of the world's Christian men are not Vatican priests, so it doesn't matter if 80% of Vatican priests are gay. That doesn't help your case. Why not just admit you're overgeneralizing?
The problem with conservatism is that perception is more important than facts because nothing is more powerful than the ultimate control from the grave of your dead relatives.
Other than that bit about gay inappropriate content in the Bible belt (which I'll take your word is in there, since there are some things I just don't want Google thinking I'm interested in), I really haven't seen any facts from you in this thread about Christian men.
I don't really care what you have to say about conservatism because I am not a conservative. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Still, I've never met one who has pretended to have 'ultimate control from the grave' of my dead relatives, whatever that's in reference to. Sounds very melodramatic.
Fortunately, those who are critical thinkers will change the world so that it becomes a more united, accepting world, with parents playing a key role. Parents don't want their gay or trans kid to commit suicide. Parents don't want their disabled child to be mocked and devalued. It takes unconditional love to change the world.
Alright. I don't really see what any of that has to do with your stereotyping of Christian men as homophobes who are secretly gay Mormons or whatever, but okay.
