We remember the Lord relates to us the parable of the sower.

In Mark 4:14, the Lord relates the seed as word.

In Matthew 13: 19, the Lord relates the seed as the word of the kingdom.

In Luke 8:11, the Lord relates as the word of God

This is what we have heard:
And he said to them, "Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you. -Mark 4:24

If we pay attention to what the Lord has said in his parables, there are still more that can be added to our understanding.

How do the Lord wants us to understand the word or the word of the kingdom or the word of God ?

In regard to Mark 4,
We have the Lord have said this
so that "'they may indeed see but not perceive, and may indeed hear but not understand, lest they should turn and be forgiven.'" -Mark 4:12

For when those who hear not understand, for when those see not perceive ; the way to understand and perceive the word is for those who hear and see to turn from their sin to God and be forgiven.

When those hear and see have turned and their sins have been forgiven by God, it is then that their hearts are prepared to hear or receive the word and God’s understanding.

Therefore, the word that the Lord wants us to hear in the parable of the sower in Mark 4 is that we turn from our sins to God and be forgiven.

In regard to Matthew 13,
We have heard:
For this people's heart has grown dull, and with their ears they can barely hear, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them.' -Matthew 13:15

The hearts of those who hear the word of the kingdom that the Lord would like to heal but the Lord told the conditions for them to be healed is that their eyes should see and perceive and their ears hear and understand and with their hearts turn from sin to God then He would heal them.

So, the word of the kingdom is sown to us to bring healing to our hearts. Hearts that are healed are those whose our relationship are restored to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, those who hear the word of the kingdom and are healed will be brought to the kingdom of His beloved Son at His appearing.

In regards to Luke 8,
This is what we have heard:
he said, "To you it has been given to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that 'seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.' -Luke 8:10

The Lord places requirement to those who hear the word of God is that they who see must perceive and those who hear must understand.

And those who the Lord considers as His disciples are revealed this understanding : the secrets of the kingdom of God.

So, those who hear the word of God are those whom the Lord considers as His disciples and He shall reveal to them the secrets of the kingdom of God.

*Share with us what the Lord have revealed or make known to you about the parable of the sower.

Let us grow in wisdom and understanding which the Holy Spirit gives.

i think the seed are indeed His words of truth sown in our love for God and neighbour. To love God is to love people, especially those fallen ones, hurting on the bottom of it all.

The thing is the kingdom of God is within us. In our hearts those heavenly fruits grow. Love, grace, kindness, gentleness, self control, a forgiving mind set, just like God has.

Seeking to safe are the prompts of the Holy Spirit. That all may come to the saving power of our Lord.

The point of the parable is for us to ponder which type of soil we are and what we should do if we are not the right type of soil.

The point of the parable is for us to ponder which type of soil we are and what we should do if we are not the right type of soil.

Yes indeed the parable is spiritual for when i find that my heart is loveless at a certain time then i can go to Jesus and ask Him to manure the place a bit. i have often time served as a worm chewing through all my corruption. Yet The Farmer sows the good seed at such times. He knows how to make infertile soil fertile. He knows how to produce a good crop far better than i can.

Still i found that even my flesh can serve God with Jesus on-board. He gets good out of bad all the time in my life. The dirt of my heart serves as veggie patch in my life, and the better it has been dug up, and broken up, the better the good seed grows, that much i know also to be true about The parable of the sower.

The truth is amazing to watch in action.

Philippians 2:9-11.
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

This is the command that we have heard:

But this command I gave them: 'Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people. And walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.' -Jeremiah 7:23

This is the voice that we need to obey :

For thus says the LORD to the men of Judah and Jerusalem: "Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. -Jeremiah 4:3

Doesn’t that reaffirms what our Lord Jesus tells and explains in the parable of the sower ? It does !

our hearts need to be prepared before being sown with the seed or the word of the kingdom.

The land of our hearts need to be plowed or break up. Why ? Our hearts could be hardened, that we need to consider !

For we have been admonished:

Take care, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, leading you to fall away from the living God. -Hebrews 3:12
But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called "today," that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. -Hebrews 3:13

Heart that is unplowed or break up is heart hardened by the deceitfulness of sin !

When the Lord calls us to break our fallow ground !
The Lord is asking us to clear the ground of our hearts from thorns or evil.

Have we been able to forgive others their trespasses ? ( Matthew 6:15)
Have we been able to lift up holy hands without anger or quarreling ? ( 1 Timothy 2:8)
Have we been able to reconcile first with others before we come before God and offer our gift at the altar ? ( Matthew 5:23-24)
Have we been able to be control ourselves and sober-minded not gratifying our old nature? ( 1 PETER 4:7; James 4:3),
Have we stayed away from doing any abomination to the Lord ?
( Deuteronomy 18:10-12)
Have we worship God, obey His will and listen to Him ? (John 9:31)
Have we been able to confess our sins to one another and pray for one another ? ( James 5:16)
Have we been able to give ourselves to God ? ( Luke 6:38)

Let us break up the fallow ground by releasing forgiveness to those who accuse us, hurt us, disappoint us, upset us, mistreat us, resent us, reject us, and abandon us!

Let us break up the fallow ground by putting to death all forms of idolatry, that is, sexual immortality, impurities, lust, evil desires, and greed.

Let us break up the fallow ground by putting away anger, annoyance, meanness, slander and obscene talk.

Let us break up the fallow ground by not following the passions of our old nature, by not obeying the wishes of our old nature and our own thoughts.

Let us not hear among thorns by putting away the cares of the world, the deceitfulness of riches and other desires of other things.

The most important question we need to ask ourselves:

Do we have the strength to break up the fallow ground ? Do we have the strength to clear our hearts from evil ?

How are we going to have God’s strength if we don’t wait for Him ?
How are we going to know that God comes if we don’t seek Him wholeheartedly?
How are we going to seek God wholeheartedly if we don’t repent in true contrition?
How are we going to repent in true contrition if we don’t humble ourselves before God daily? How are we going to humble ourselves if we don’t seek His steadfast love and mercy or compassion that are new every morning ?

Let us seek God’s strength continuously that we may have the strength to release forgiveness to those who wrong us every day. Not insisting in our self righteousness ! Let us be found in His righteousness that comes through Christ’s faithfulness, that is, the righteousness from God.

For this is what we have heard:
By steadfast love and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns away from evil. -Proverbs 16:6

Let us fear the Lord and trembles at His presence !
For the Lord placed the sand as the boundary for the sea, a perpetual barrier that it cannot pass; though the waves toss, they cannot prevail; though they roar, they cannot pass over it.

Let us seek understanding the fear of the Lord, that through the strength of the Lord, we turn away from evil !

And let us be found in His steadfast love and faithfulness, that we may rejoice in His forgiveness!

Let us obey God’s voice and not harden our hearts !

Let us walk in all the way that our Lord Jesus Christ command us, that it may be well with us.
