I'd like to ask the Trump supporters on this site a couple of questions. First, I'd like to make it clear that no disrespect is intended by asking these questions. Second, I'm not accusing his supporters of any wrongdoing. Third, I don't want to debate his supporters on their reasons for supporting him.

First question: Since Biden has been elected the next President, do you still believe that God chooses and ordains our President? Second question: Do you still believe that Christians should submit to the government now that Biden has been elected? I'm asking these questions because I read a comment earlier today from a Trump supporter who made it clear that "Biden is not my President." As I recall throughout Trump's presidency, many of his Christian supporters were adamant that God chose him to be the President and Christians should submit to the government. Has this sentiment changed?

Thank you, in advance, for answering my questions. I appreciate your willingness to answer.

** Once again, I don't mean any disrespect to the Trump supporters on this site. **

Since Biden has been elected the next President, do you still believe that God chooses and ordains our President?
Yes. Sometimes He choses leaders as a judgment against a nation. Which is the same thing I said about Trump when he was elected.
Second question: Do you still believe that Christians should submit to the government now that Biden has been elected?
When the government acts according to biblical principles, then yes. When it goes against what scripture teaches, then no.

And while my signature says that I’m not a Trump supporter, that has to do with the man himself, not his presidency. I was not a fan in ‘16. And I’m still not. But as a president, his policies were mostly positive.

1) Yes. Yet in our own life's we have a choice :) 2014 a prophet talked about Trump as president and also said at one point they will say impeach impeach impeach. So the question is.. did we do we really pray seek Him and His way when we vote? Its not Jan 20th yet.

2) No and yes. Well Biden is not the president. Come Jan 20th if Biden is in office then yes he will be our president. Yet will he be? Do you know how many times I watched Kamala Harris say "when I am president" twice they both said "Harris/Biden". No one ever gets that wrong yet they did how odd.

You now God set His people free and then came to the red sea and then seeing the army behind them. No where go to.. no path forward. I see with one man Christ is always talked about.. a man for Israel and is a believe in Jesus Christ. Another man I've watched known longer... is not for Israel or Christ.

Asking this hearing how Rep came in to cast their vote and the state police would not let them in and told ..they all ready voted. <--God did not do this. I find it hard to follow someone that is clearly NOT for Christ or Israel.

So please I mean no offense. Come Jan 20th if Biden is in.. I will pray for him as I did for Trump.

I'd like to ask the Trump supporters on this site a couple of questions.
I have both supported some of his decisions, and been critical of other decisions. Not sure if that qualifies me as a "supporter," but here are my answers:

First question: Since Biden has been elected the next President, do you still believe that God chooses and ordains our President?
I'm not sure that God ordains our President, because I don't see why God would ordain Bush, then Clinton, then the younger Bush, then Obama, then Trump. I do believe that he ordained our Constitutional system, because 1) it is the supreme law of the land rather than a leader's or king's word, and 2) it was eventually established a few years after we had won the Revolutionary War, and if God ordained kings through wars of succession and conquest, then our Constitution was at least as legitimately established.

We should submit to the Constitution, as should our leaders. The Constitution itself is the "one in authority" for Americans reading Romans 13. That was my position in the Obama years, and I maintained this position in the Trump years, and I will maintain this position over the next four years.

I of course, also am not putting any stock in the people who claimed to prophetically predict Trump's re-election, since it would have clearly happened if it came true. Was there some shady activity? Yes, and the system we have for addressing it which is under federal law and which follows the Constitution has not found enough fraud to overturn the election results. We must therefore accept these results.

First question: Since Biden has been elected the next President, do you still believe that God chooses and ordains our President?

I for one do not believe God places anyone in the Office of the President, nor any other elected office. Elections are done by the will of individuals and God does not interfere in free will.

Second question: Do you still believe that Christians should submit to the government now that Biden has been elected?

Christians are called to live as peaceably as possible with leaders good and otherwise. Should the government go against scripture, that is where we should follow scripture.

Thank you for your thoughtful questions.

It looks like Biden will be my President, the office commands respect, even if the man does not. That doesn't mean I will vote for him ever - That doesn't mean I will refrain from making judgements on his actions. That doesn't mean i will not criticize what I feel is wrong.

But there is no way under the sun I will treat him the way our current President has been treated.

@Fantine,

With all due respect, this thread is for Trump supporters to answer the questions I asked in the first post. The purpose of my thread isn't to incite a heated debate by harshly criticizing his supporters.

I am sorry. When someone claims that the outgoing president was undeservedly treated very, very badly i cannot help but strongly disagree. But I will delete my post, too.

I really appreciate your corporation. Thank you.

Our elected leaders, and those opposed, merely reflect the state of our country. So no, we elect, not sure God cares, he cares and loves each person.

Power corrupts, Trump is most likely very corrupt. I did vote for Trump, but that is only because i believe that the right of life is not just another issue. Biden, I believe is also corrupt. We put way too much power in the government to fix our country, the people need to do that.......those in power, for the most part, only care for power, their privilege, and yes money often gotten through graft.

I am also somewhat of an idiot when it comes to politics.

Yes God chooses and ordains but unscrupulous men can interfere with God's plans.
1 Samuel 8:18
18 And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king whom ye have chosen to yourselves, and the Lord shall not hear you in those days, because ye have chosen to yourselves a king.

Two times God uses the term ‘ye have chosen’. God didn’t chose the leader. They did. And God said so.

Even in the Old Testament God did not interfere with men’s choosing their leaders. And to this day He doesn’t. That is why you can’t Prophesy God placing anyone in an office. He never has and never will.

1 Peter 2:13-14
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
