Sounds like Flynn is hoping for a new job position. "Head of Martial Law and Constitution Suspension Strategies under President-Deposed Trump". Well, if you are going to suspend the Constitution and try a coup on US Democracy, I guess it would be very handy to have a few experienced and extremely loyal generals on your side (pardoning them will do that .

I'll tell you what, Mr. Flynn. You are correct. You seem to be the man for the job. You are provisionally hired for when the coup starts.

Actually the nation was divided even more during the 1800 election between Adams and Jefferson.

The Federalist, which eventually became the Democratic Party, tried to get electors to cast their EC votes for Barr, so Jefferson wouldn't become president.

The Federalist Party led by Alexander Hamilton and President John Adams, advocated that the United States have a hereditary monarchy, like that in England.

The Republican Party led by Madison and Jefferson rejected such an idea.

The nation was split and of course, the attacks and threats to the life of Jefferson were real.

The Federalist Party didn't become the Democratic Party. It went out of existence, and the Democratic-Republican Party of Madison and Jefferson split into the Democratic Party and the Whig Party. The Whigs later formed the base of the Republican Party. So both parties can trace themselves to Jefferson's party.

The Democrats have already suspended the first amendment in a variety of instances, are eager to continue that trend and have been eager to do so for many years.

You are a little late vexing over what Flynn may have said.
