Why do dispensationalists chop up the bible into different ages?

One does not have to use the word dispensation if they really don't like that term, that is ok, but you must clearly see that there were ages in scripture. God told different commands to noah than He did to moses, than he did to abraham, than he did to joshua, than he did to david. Yes they were all following God with a pure heart, but they had different covenants and they also had different things to do to be saved. Adam and eve to be saved, all they had to do was NOT EAT THE APPLE. So the way of salvation changed literally at that point. So that is one age. Note adam and eve were not saved by faith. It does not say that. They didn't have faith, they KNEW God existed. They had direct proof of God, that is different than faith. They were saved literally by their obedience, and when the sinned they died. Every man was not saved by "faith alone" in fact I make a case that no man is saved by "faith alone." We must have an act of faith, at salvation we must cast down the other idols and false Gods we are worshipping, and turn to God in faith. It is a free gift, but not without repentance. What I am getting at is that no one in history was saved by faith without any type of acting on their faith. It was not faith alone (It was a faith that was NOT Alone.) But the act of faith changed in every dispensation or age, even the faith changed. Some believed in the God the father in the old testament, in the New testament the accept the son as saviour.

What were the internet speeds at that time in history?

... Knowing that dispensation demands we interpret life as it was at that time.

"In these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the ages.
Heb 1:2

"In these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the ages.
Heb 1:2

(2) The Lord Jesus Christ specifically NAMED the second
Jewish "Kingdom of Heaven" in Matt 22:2 and described
the fall of the Kingdom in v 2-7.

Jesus also referenced the END of the Jewish Kingdom in
Matt 21:43 as the "Kingdom of God" was TAKEN from the
Jews and GIVEN to the Christians.

(3) The Lord Jesus Christ specifically NAMED the third
Christian "Kingdom of Heaven" in Matthew 13 (in 8 verses)
as well as showing it REPLACING the Jewish Kingdom in
both Matt 22:8-14 and again in Matt 21:43

(4) The Lord Jesus Christ specifically NAMED the fourth
Great Tribulation "Kingdom of Heaven" in Matt 25:1 and
gave a brief chronology of the Great Tribulation/Revelation
Beast in verses 25:1-13. While Christians assumed the
Great Tribulation and/or Revelation Beast was a part
(the ending) of the Christian Kingdom.... JESUS said that
it is a separate-and-distinct "Kingdom of Heaven".

(5) The Lord Jesus Christ specifically NAMED the Eternal
"Kingdom of Heaven" in Matthew chapters 5 and 7 and 8
and 19 (as well as many other verses). Unlike the previous
TEMPORAL Kingdoms which contained both saved and unsaved,
the Eternal "Kingdom of Heaven" (which we all pray for) only
contains the (saved) Body of Christ.

The ONLY "Kingdom of Heaven" Jesus did not specifically
NAME in Scripture is the (1st) Pre-Flood Kingdom which
contained all the saints from Adam to Noah. However, it's
clearly a separate-and-distinct Kingdom than the Jewish.

It is interesting to note the Gospel of the 2nd Jewish Kingdom
was different than the Gospel of the Pre-Flood Kingdom and
the Gospel of the Christian Kingdom was different than the
Jewish Gospel and the Gospel of the Great Tribulation is also
different than the Christian Kingdom... knowing mysteries that
remained "sealed" [Dan 12:8-10] and the fulfillment of prophecy
Jesus PROMISES the saints "shall see" [Mat 24:15 and 24:33]
and even the NAME of the Antichrist or "Man of Sin".

So these are the dispensations that JESUS CHRIST specifically
NAMED in Scripture and each had it's own unique Gospel...
with each having progressive revelation of what the Bible
always contained (but remained "sealed" until due time).

well believing in christ does not save. Intellectual assent Christ is God's son, or even that He is saviour does not save. Satan would be saved if that is the case, satan has all that composes of saving faith, other than the trust aspect and the repentance. So when we come to Christ we turn from sin, and turn to the saviour. We cast down the idols we are worshipping, money, sex, power and come to the Cross.
Satan isn't a human being . Salvation is not granted to angels. Hence The Lake of Fire that was prepared for Satan , the Anti-Christ , the false prophet, and the third of angels that rebelled.
Salvation is for humans . By grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
