I think they are referring to mental problems, not every issue is spiritual. People can have spiritual, mental and or physical problems.
Its rather strange that Jesus never diagnosed 'mental illnesses' as a condition during his miraculous ministry. Anything which we might possibly construed today as a mental illness, was back the immediately cured by casting the demons out.

Christians need to recognise that the men who are today revered as the "fathers of modern psychiatry" got much of their ideology my channeling spirits and taking mind altering drugs.

Hello

So for a few years I've daydreamed about a topic I've never told anyone about. I've never thought anything of it but it could mean something.

I have daydreamed a lot about Satan invading my body and through me comes the beginning of the end times. I see Satan as myself pulling the life source out of people's bodies making them grow old and die and then I see an army of white/black robotic like figures which look humanoid but inside they're demons. I daydream that Satan has far more advanced technology than any government and uses it to ultimately destroy those who are not going to be accepted into Heaven. Sometimes I daydream that I'm an angel or a human with a destiny to save someone and in the process of saving someone, I die and am surrounded by angels and taken up into Heaven.

This may all seem crazy. I will say right now I am worried that Satan is existing in the back of my mind like he has a control over part of me. I don't claim to be an angel, apostle, or someone sent by God or Satan. I simply am claiming that I have had these strange daydreams that I can't make sense of. Maybe it's just an overactive imagination or maybe someone like God or Satan is trying to tell me something in pictures and I can't decipher it.

Any advice or help would be appreciated. I do struggle with my faith if that helps with anyone giving me advice on what to do.

Many Blessings

Joshua S
Here's my approach to walking in the Spirit.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:5) (KJV 1900)

We censor every impure thought or imagination. And change the channel in our thinking on any thought that does not conform to obedience to Christ.

And we replace it with:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

Knowing Jesus is God and God is love. So Jesus is Lord of our lives when love rules our thoughts and actions.

Sounds like you have a very active imagination and need to find some sort of creative outlet.

I dream about Satan a lot too. Its important to know that they're just dreams. As a Christian Satan cannot actually get to you or touch you. That's a fact.

'Cannot get to you or touch you' first, christians can have spiritual problems they carry from when they were not believers, so not only they can touch you but stay with you until they are solved/cast out/prayed out whatever you wish, converting doesn't get rid of your spiritual problems related to devils, God may do a big work that can happen, but mostly you may need to get rid of issues with the help of God, or you suggest the christians with spiritual problems are not christians at all? thats would be worse thinking.

Also christians can give terrain to the devil, by not standing firmly/not taking care of things, or having problems with sins.

No, that's not a fact, it's a doctrine of demons.

2Tim2v26and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.
If as Paul says, Christians can be taken captive, then you are obviously wrong.

1Thes2v18 For we wanted to come to you- indeed I, Paul, tried again and again- but Satan obstructed us
Apparently Satan 'got to' Paul, again proving you wrong.

1Pet5v8Be sober-minded; watch. Your adversary the devil prowls about as a roaring lion seeking whom to devour,
Again, completely disagreeing with you, Peter warns that the devil is as dangerous as a lion.

James4v7Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

If the devil can't touch us, why does James issue such a warning?

To teach Christians that Satan or demons can't touch or indwell Christians, is an amazingly clever Satanic deception. It leaves Satan and his demons completely free to do whatever they like among Christians with complete impunity.

The three are intertwined. As such we can have a problem in any one of those areas and a problem in one area can affect the other areas. Mental disease is every bit as real as something like measles or a demon.

Medicine can help withsome conditions, but a lot of what doctors call mental illness... are actually spiritual problems and they ignore that totally. Also they are unable to help with lots of 'mental issues' and they just put people high on drugs, even bad addictive drugs that do more harm than good (myself i experienced this) read what happened to Jordan Peterson with benzos, that happened to me and i'm still with consequences of because that.

Sometimes I daydream that I'm an angel or a human with a destiny to save someone and in the process of saving someone, I die and am surrounded by angels and taken up into Heaven.

Are you aware that the Bible contradicts these imaginings of yours? If it is correct (and I have excellent reason to believe it is), then your imaginings aren't.

The Bible urges Christians to carefully govern their thought-life (2 Corinthians 10:4-5; Philippians 4:8). Your thinking shapes who you are and what you do, so don't be careless about what thoughts you allow into your mind. These daydreams will not bring anything good into your life. Reject them. Instead, fill your mind with the truth and light of God's word.

Satan is always waiting to take the unwary, the unwise, and bring them into bondage to his lies and darkness. He is a thief who will steal your joy, destroy your fellowship with God, and kill you if you give him room in your mind and heart to do so. He's not fooling around, so don't play light and loose with him.

Any advice or help would be appreciated. I do struggle with my faith if that helps with anyone giving me advice on what to do.

The Bible tells us first to submit ourselves unto God and then resist the devil (James 4:7). There is no way to resist him successfully apart from being first submitted to God. Have you submitted yourself to God? Have you yielded your life to him to do with as He pleases? Is God the God of your life? Who sits on the throne of your heart? If God is not in control of you, eventually the devil will be, directly or indirectly. There is no neutral ground you can stand in between the two.

James 4:7-10
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

Proverbs 3:5-7
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.
7 Be not wise in your own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Romans 10:9-13
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED."
12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him;
13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

I wasn't saying that doctors don't ignore spiritual problems, they do because that isn't their job description. At the same time we shouldn't always assume a demon is the cause of a mental issue.

I am sure 100 years ago I would have been thought to have a demon because I have epilepsy. It's a physical condition caused by nodules in my brain. It very easy to see on an MRI. Someone else on CF has epilepsy from a car crash they were in because an area of their brain got damaged. Just because we have the condition from two physically real issues does not mean epilepsy cannot be spiritual. The issue here is assuming that X must always be spiritual or Y must always be physical. Things are not so simple.

I really admire medicine advancement, that is awesome stuff, but in the area of mental issues it sure is lacking.

You can assert some control over your day dreams. Take those thoughts captive. It is neither Gods will nor your own to dream up demons. Fight the day dreams, don’t let it become a habit.

sin lives in me’. The flesh cannot please God’. Do something else if you start to go there. Run from sin. You can have the victory. We all have trials this is yours. Life is a battle for the mind. Win it, be in prayer when it starts. Don’t make a channel In your mind for oppression. Call someone. Talk it out. Phil4:8-10

Dear Brother Joshua, practice not letting your mind wander all over the place. Practice repeating GOD'S Power Scriptures in your mind. Here's one that will help...

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.
Trust ye in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
Isaiah 26 : 3, 4

We must pray to Dear Jesus without ceasing as it says in 1 Thessalonians 5 :17. Cling to Him all day long and ask Him for His help...

"For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand," saying unto thee, "Fear not; I will help thee."
Isaiah 41 : 13

Our Heavely Father and Dear Jesus will help you if you ask them. Hang in there, and memorize this great power scripture as your guide...

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
Proverbs 3 : 5, 6

We must make a full surrender and submission to Dear Jesus for Him to help us. May Dear Jesus richly bless you.

In my opinon, as long as you live on this earth, you will always feel that Satan has some kind of stronghold on you. It's just part of this fallen world. As a christian, I have the Lord Jesus by my side daily but that doesn't mean I'm not tempted, persuaded, convinced daily of things that are not of the Lord, basically because Satan does not take a day off.

Show me anywhere that Jesus healed "mental" conditions.
Jesus encountered plenty of people who by today's standards looked like they had mental problems, but interestingly, every one was instantly healed by casting the demon out!

So did Jesus get it wrong?
Or are mental illnesses only a recent problem?
Or have the psychobabblers got it wrong?

An interesting fact is that those referred to today as "the fathers of modern psychiatry", got much of their theory by channeling demons and taking mind bending drugs! Since when were demons a good source of scientific knowledge?

Maybe it's just an overactive imagination or maybe someone like God or Satan is trying to tell me something in pictures and I can't decipher it.

Everyone dabbles in delusions of grandeur from time to time and it is true that Satan will attempt to use a multitude of means to tempt us away from service to God. For most of us it's greed. If that doesn't work he'll use fear. If that doesn't work he'll use pride.

It sounds like you're dealing with pride; you've got all these fantasies and day dreams about being some special person, whereas Jesus said the greatest will be the servant. It's not wrong to have fantasies, so long as you're mature enough to recognize they are just fantasies and that at some point you must get back to the real world of being a faithful servant in the Kingdom of Heaven.

The best way to combat obsessive thoughts about your own goodness is to find ways to help others. The more time you spend thinking about them and their needs, the better your spirit will become.

Good luck.

Who said that Jesus healed or didn't heal mental condition? Whether he did or not doesn't matter. Just because something wasn't done in the Bible is not a statement about it.

If we use the logic of "The Bible does not mention X, therefor X is wrong"
Then:
1)Jesus didn't eat corn, therefor eating corn wrong.
2)Jesus was Jewish so he didn't celebrate birthdays, therefor celebrating birthdays is wrong.
3) Jesus wore a knee length tunic, therefor wearing pants is wrong

Just because the Bible doesn't show Jesus healing mental disorders does not mean mental disorders don't exist and it also doesn't even mean that he didn't, Jesus healed far more people than what the Bible tells us.

Nowhere did Jesus say "mental conditions don't exist"
So how exactly did Jesus 'get it wrong'?

Sin may control your mind, but i doubt satan is concerned with you personally one on one. I am guessing he is focused on Israel.
