When Bruce (Jim Carrey) meets God (Morgan Freeman) for the first time, he is offered his job as the Almighty to prove it's not as easy as he thinks.

This is a clip probably one of my favorite parts of the movie. When god says you think you can do a better job then gives Bruce his job.

My personal opinion Morgan Freeman hit it out of the ball park as god. It takes a certain type of skill to play god and play it convincingly and he does.

That’s a pretty bold statement to make on a Christian forum.
Are you serious, this is the entertainment form the topic is about a movie portrayal not the real God. I'm pretty certain that God isn't a stick in the mud who doesn't have a sense of humor and can't appreciate a good movie. If God didn't have a good sense of humor he would have wiped out humanity by now.

It’s actually blasphemous.

That movie is blasphemous and no God is not a 60 year old negro.

As a person barely striving to be a Christian, it is quite interesting and disheartening to see the language or the way other Christians communicate with each other on a day-to-day basis. Nevertheless, it's quite sad.

This is an internet forum that being said you get a wide variety of people here. It’s not like attending a church service.

Indeed.

The true colors of Christians bloom when they are away from church service and are participating in other things-like the very internet form we are in.

What did you find to be sad and disheartening about my post?

It has nothing to do with that. Jesus warned about wheat and tares.

It wasn't about your post

I was overall just observing the conversation you had with the OP (likewise, with other things I have read.)

It's interesting how Christians can get into debates or whatever. They hed downhill and get heated quickly.

I'm at most just probably venting at the moment.

Like I said there are a variety of people on this site some are unbelievers, some are baby Christians like yourself, and many are plain confused. There are some mature Christians on this site but they are few and far between.
