Yes, but those are European Engineers working in the UK.

American electrical and automotive engineers aren't stupid enough to come up with such a simple solution.

That's just one option.

But saying we shouldn't do it because some towns don't have street lights is like saying we shouldn't introduce the mobile phone because some towns don't have mobile towers.

I live in CA , everywhere , I've drove in CA , there are street lights.

So they are going to have to upgrade some infrastructure or forget about adapting technology that is cheaper, more efficient, more environment friendly and something people are increasingly demanding and willing to use their money for.

Yeah, wonder how that will turn out.

Bet there were plenty of people who had tons of reasons why cars would never replace horses in streets of New York.

Like some manure shovelers going out of business or something.

Combustion engines had their time and good run it was but they are on the way out.

Nothing short of Mad Max scenario is going to reverse that trend anymore.
