They want total control of our ovaries, sex lives . And they are okay with destroying the planet.

I have known and still know a lot of people and have never met (even one) who thinks that way?

All you have to do is stick around CF for a while.

Been here for some time and never seen even one.
Maybe I'm missing a forum?

Pay attention. Why do you think so many pro-lifers are also against birth control and comprehensive sex-ed, both of which reduce the number of abortions?

Weren't Republicans supposed to be big on states' rights?

No, that was the 20th century. An even numbered century. They switch off each century. Democrats, odd numbered Republicans, even. It is now an odd numbered century so it is the Democrats turn to be for State's rights again. Just like they were in the 19th century with the exception of the Fugitive Slave Laws of course. In the 22nd century the Republicans get to be State's righters again.

California chose to plant eucalyptus trees everywhere, a tree known for bursting into flames due to the large amounts of oil. This is what President Trump is trying to save California from themselves.

I don't think some of the people here understand satire.

Major automakers are siding with the Trump administration in its bid to bar California from setting its own fuel efficiency rules or zero-emission requirements for vehicles, the companies said in a filing with a U.S. appeals court late on Monday.

The move by firms including General Motors...

That was then. This is now. GM withdraws from Trump's side.

"We are confident that the Biden Administration, California, and the US auto industry, which supports 10.3 million jobs, can collaboratively find the pathway that will deliver an all-electric future," GM wrote in a letter signed by CEO Mary Barra. "To better foster the necessary dialogue, we are immediately withdrawing from the preemption litigation and inviting other automakers to join us."

This is partly because the OEMs see the writing on the wall. GM in particular are seeing huge potential profits in future EV automobile and light truck development. In particular because, unlike Ford who are focusing on their EV product lines, GM is banking on making a big splash on modular batteries technologies that they can sell to the other OEMs.

That ain't going to work.
Take a look at all the people living in the City.
Where are you going to plug them all in?
110 volt outlets I don't think work.

I'm going to take a gamble that electrical and automotive engineers are smarter than you, and consequently, can figure out a way to make it work.

110 outlets work, but slowly. Most of the people I know with EVs have a 220-240V outlet in their garage.

Gas & Elect employees expect massive circuit overloads
(which already happen on hot days.)
I guess they may know more than you.
