Yes, one day. The thing is getting to know the person. Experiences/Interest/Emotions/ spending some with each other, giving attention every now and then, grow learning and surprising each other. Also it takes courage to be yourself. May grace from God our Father, and peace from the Lord Yeshua Christ be with you sister, @Kashina.

I hope and pray for the both of us that someday soon we'll meet our special someone's. I look forward to sharing parts of myself that nobody knows about. And the sigh of relief that comes, knowing I don't have to be so guarded anymore. I'm excited for those days.

*And to answer your question...well, it's a good one. I have to chew on it a bit.

Hmmm... Guarded how, though? Do you have friends or family that you can allow yourself to drop your guard to?

Sorry to change the subject; it's just something that pertains to a situation. I find myself in these days as well. :)

Hmmmmmm, so...yeah, I guess I am ready for something like a little death.

But, not without a little trembling.

Gaurded from potential partners. Sometimes I can be a little too hopeful.

We all can get to the point where we crave the type of connection between a husband and wife. We say that we've grown and learned and are ready to finally meet them.
But do you truly believe that you are ready to meet them?

Noooooooooooooooooooooo!

Run!!!

Ahhh I see.

Hopefulness ain't such a bad thing, imo. I guess the challenge is in finding someone who returns just as much hopefulness as you give.

Yeah it just sucks in the moment. When things go wrong and feelings are invested.

Yeah it just sucks in the moment. When things go wrong and feelings are invested.

Sometimes it’s hard to see God’s hand in our affairs. I recall someone I dated years ago. We parted and I felt sad. I asked for prayer and the intercessor said, “God put that away.” She was right.

We see in part and know in part but He sees all. It takes a long time to know someone. To understand their bones. We need the Lord’s input in our connections. The heart can be blind and misled. I’ve been on both sides of that statement.

The desire to hide or shut down seems right. But we’re harming ourselves and diminishing our loveliness. It is easier to build a wall than tear it down. Many become their own jailers unintentionally.

It is better to heal and learn from our experiences. That’s the harder road but it yields better spoils than the alternative. :)

Yours in His Service,

~bella

Yah, I feel that one for sure. It does hurt when they don't have that same investment; especially when you do invest a lot of yourself into making the relationship work, and even into the person you care about.

There definitely are folks out there who see the value you bring though, same as me; and that value deserves to be respected. If they don't got that, or they try to take more than they give, then you and I got more important things we can be doing with our time. :D

Some women think they want a lion, and a tame one at that...

Might as well live in the zoo. Hey, if that's your thing...have fun sightseeing.

The thing is, is your gonna want the real deal when them hyenas come laughing and scavenging.

"Ooh" said Susan. "I'd thought he was a man. Is he-quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion"..."Safe?" said Mr Beaver ..."Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you"
Quote by C.S. Lewis: “Aslan is a lion- the Lion, the great Lion." "Oo...”

I completely understand and agree. But I know myself well enough to know that I must guard my heart while getting to know someone. I feel a lot. I'm extremely empathetic and have had many many bad experiences with all types of guys and am just waiting on the right one. The one that will make all the lessons learned and hurt feelings all worth it because I ended up meeting him.

I'm not opposed to having things go wrong, if things hadn't went wrong this year, i wouldn't have learned that I have a very specific type. I come from a family that is lead by the women. So I'm pretty strong and stand firm in my beliefs. I want a man that loves God so much and is strong and humble and kind, that he can lead a woman like me who is used to leading. I'm currently just waiting on the Lord.
