The point was rather that the area Kurds would claim has nowhere near 50% of the global oil production.

They would not be in any position to dictate anything.

Especially since forming of Kurdistan would require war that would thrash the infrastructure and oil production anyway.

I wonder how he got this impression. Maybe he got the wrong multinational ethnic minority who was systematically betrayed and oppressed for centuries to feel paranoid about concerning plans of world domination.

There's no good reason to war with Iran. And I hope if Trump or Pence try to , they are escorted out of the White house right away. Americans and Iran need to be protected from this craziness.

The Middle East isn't exactly a sane place.
The whole Fertile Crescent and into Turkey is one of the most racist places I've ever visited.

Aren't they all pretty much the same race?

Starting a war on the heels of a pandemic and recession would be massively unpopular decision, but I don't expect anything of the sort.
America should start taking care of its own citizens instead of goofing off on the other side of the globe.

Strange things are happening. Yesterday I was recalled to active duty in the United Sates Navy. It must be bad if they need 49 year old men.

Yes, really. I had an idea something was in the works because the Navy had me go to Norfolk Virginia (a ton of Navy bases in the area) in February and do an interview, I just thought they wanted my input, not me. Then Covid hit and nothing until they called me on Tuesday and emailed me yesterday. I was sure if they searched my social media, especially CF, I would have been put in the insanely crazy category. I guess they have really good BS detectors (or they want someone that is insanely crazy). Either way, with the calculations I have been doing, it will work out to a little over $110,000 a year before they tax it.

And under the Obama plan they designated every place we wanted to inspect as a military installation and denied us entry. They never stopped with their plans.

The bribes and agreement didn't stop Iran. It just bought them more time. I base the last comment on the news articles that were reporting at that time. They were denying entry for inspections.
