Children after Biden's new Department of Education secretary takes office...
What does any of this have to do with the position of D of E Secretary?

Billionaires have money in everything...
Doesn't necessarily mean that they are actually cognizant of what they are investing in or even that they know where all their money is.

I have three banks and 7 accounts and I forget regularly where my money is. And I'm just an electrician.

Scratch that... forgot about another 3 accounts with 2 different banks.

So to clarify: Electrician- doesn't know where his money is, therefore billionaire doesn't know where their money is. Seems unlikely. Perhaps one of the reasons she's a billionaire is because she knows exactly where her money is.

At any rate, to match your anecdote, I have 7 accounts with 4 different institutions, and I know exactly where every cent of my money is, and I'm just a millionaire.

Yeah, but it is that fake plastic Australian money…

Blame trump. He's the one who put an intolerant, unqualified political hack with an anti-education agenda in charge.
Ummmm
Hate to burst a bubble...

But

Obama's was just as bad. His Secretary of Education stirred the pot to begin with. Was "gonna make it more efficient" but again when people began to apply for forgiveness their credit hours were lost, forgotten, and payments made were either confused or miscalculated.

The whole thing has been a mess for a while now. Nobody has successfully straightened it out.

DeVos's personal financial interests in the student debt of the United States required that she never even tried. Indeed, the worse it got, the more money she made.

I would say that qualifies as her being worse than Obama's Secretary of Education.

Here's a review of his likely policies: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/13/us/politics/biden-education-devos.html. The one that probably concerns you is that he will surely renew the guidance on treatment of Transgender students.

But remember, this isn't legislation, which he can't do. It's warning people of what the law says. Under Obama you could argue that there was no basis for the guidance, and so he was making a controversial interpretation of the Law. But now, the conservative Supreme Court has interpreted anti-discrimination laws in employment as applying to LGBT. It's reasonable to assume that they would rea the laws in education the same way. So the guidance will simply be pointing out what the Court has already said.

Your argument isn't with Biden, but with the Supreme Court and for that matter, the majority of the American people.

It's unlikely that he will dictate what is to be taught about LGBT. Obama didn't, and I don't think Biden is as aggressive in that area. Teaching content is clearly a State matter.

FYI, here is the Obama version of the guidance: https://www2.ed.gov/about/offices/list/ocr/letters/colleague-201605-title-ix-transgender.pdf. Somewhat to my surprise, bathrooms are not mentioned (since most people seem to think of it primarily in terms of bathrooms), though it's probably reasonable to assume that they are implied. The Supreme Court decision excludes bathrooms (remember this is for employment).

One appellate court has already ruled on the bathroom issue for schools: Court rules 'resoundingly yes' for transgender rights in Gavin Grimm bathroom access battle. I'm guessing that this will end up at the Supreme Court, but as of now, the 4th and 11th courts have ruled in favor of trans access to the appropriate bathroom in schools. Since those circuits cover the areas of the country most likely to object, it would be reasonable for the President to say that current law supports the original Obama guidance. Ultimately, though, this is most likely to be resolved by courts, not the President. No doubt people will get mad at Biden, but he's the messenger. Trump's withdrawl of the guidance didn't stop the courts from deciding that it was right.

I remember teaching my son the difference between boys and girls when a little girl from the neighborhood wanted to play with him but she didn't want to wrestle, play football, or baseball.
Swings were good, frisbee was a maybe...that sort of thing.
He knew nothing of dolls or tea sets...he didn't want to play any of that. (Can't say as I blamed him)
They figured it out.

I can only imagine what they are going to try to teach now.
I wasn't fond of the public schools when he was in there...

Private school or home school is looking better and better.

That's impossible considering the earliest people could have qualified for the public service loan forgiveness is 2017, since the program was created in 2007.

What I would teach is simply that people are different. Not everyone like wrestling or football. There are plenty of guys who don’t, without being trans, and there are girls that do.

Children will always hear things that contradict parental instruction. The question is whether your molding exceeds the external influences they encounter. If you understand conditioning it shouldn’t be a problem.

I've never understood this apparent desire to turn kids into little carbon copies of yourself. The world is full of so many interesting things and so many fascinating ideas that no one person can ever learn it all, and new discoveries mean that what we thought was true a year ago can now be obsolete. I don't know what greater gift you can give a child than to simply prepare them to view the world with an open mind and with the critical analysis skills to not take everything at face value.

Maybe for your house that would work...
But in my house Judeo-Christian morals rule the day.
Besides...the little girl was in a dress. Her mom was a police officer...the kids just enjoyed playing together but weren't accustomed to thinking about how to play together for themselves. They found something else other than football or baseball to do.

Today I'm pestering him for grandkids. And he knows the pestering is coming. And my wife will scold me for doing so. But he is too excited about his new job to care. We'll cook and make Thanksgiving dinner preparations together.
And we'll thank God for his many blessings this year. We are a normal, average household. Doing normal, average things. (Except that I was a former chef so I do a lot of cooking and my son enjoys helping and doing too)

Trust me when I say that the payments were miscalculated, wrong, and it was a mess to get straightened out. They have taken months to get an answer to you for any question or service need. I get ten times the service out of my bank where I get car loans. Consequently they get paid back regularly and they are paid off consistently too.

Carbon copies ?
Impossible. My son towers over me. (He's big)
I have only just wanted him happy, and successful. He is. He could have chosen any career to do. And he has. He is responsible for himself and his choices.
He doesn't get arrested or in trouble. He has a full time respectable job. He is respectful of others. He pays his bills. And most importantly he is happy. (I want him to date a little more but that's just me...he really doesn't listen to that kind of advice)

We aren't a family of scientists or trail blazers. There aren't many people like that. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being average but unique. You however make it sound like failure. It isn't. We are a very happy family.

I'm glad they found something they both liked. But there is nothing in Christian ethics saying that boys have to like playing football and girls can't.

The danger to your approach is what happens when he has a male friend that doesn't like the same things he does. If the message is girls are different rather than people are different, will he reject his friend because he thinks all boys are supposed to like what he does?
