Which Scripture is steady? The 66 Protestant Bible? The Catholic/Orthodox Bible? The Ethiopian Bible? You see the Scriptures aren't really "steady" and it was the Church in the 400's I believe that complied the Scriptures so who would know how Scriptures should be interpreted than the ones whom complied it?

Protestants can tend to interpret Scriptures in.. well wacky ways because they only use their minds and nothing else so we got Rapture, OSAS, Not OSAS, countles other things, countless heresies from Ancient times always make a comeback. Even I get confused.

Luther's canon contained 73 books, Calvin's held 66. This is a biggie! Luther stuck by the canon of the church (the weatern aswell as the eastern church) . The biblical canon thus contains 73 books as both Luther and the church could testify! Any wacko interpretation of the "66" cannon should be held accounted upon as a calvinist interpretation and nothing but it !

I hear you. But RCC teaching fluctuates too. Is it a mortal sin to eat meat on Friday? Are Protestants brothers and sisters in Christ or anathematized and damned?

In words paralleling Isaiah 22 Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom (authority) to our first pope, but no rule book. Thus our Catholic Church does indeed add practices.. For example, Peter decided we should get together for the breaking of the bread on Sunday. Three readings became the norm, but there were slight differences from region to region. The Catholic Church again added something by defining which readings were God-breathed. That process spanned centuries, and it took until the late 300s to give the world the Bible, the same 73 books in the same order we use today. So too not eating meat on Fridays and other fasting was added over the centuries. Luke: {5:34} And he said to them: “How can you cause the sons of the groom to fast, while the groom is still with them? {5:35} But the days will come when the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast, in those days.” CPDV
As to Protestant brothers and sisters of today, no, they are not anathematized. They simply lack the fullness of the Catholic faith and indeed are our brothers and sisters.

I agree protestants are brothers and sisters in Christ. But Trent's anathema's have never been removed. And you'll get different perspectives - ask a super Latin only Trad and you'll often get a very different answer on this one.
