What is going on right now is for the masses. Court of public opinion.

That court already heard the arguments and made its final decision on November 3rd.

I honestly have no Idea how to conclusively provide anything on this forum any longer. It has become a mosh pit. Maybe Discussion and Debate should be changed to Ridicule and Opinions.

No one has any burden of factually presenting arguments or counterarguments... it is a mud flinging contest.
Maybe pause and consider the awkward position Trump puts you in when trying to defend or even just explain, whatever it is that he’s doing. None of this makes any sense from a legal standpoint. It’s really just a disinformation campaign and the target seems to be his loyal base since no one else believes or even cares anymore what this president is saying and doing.

This isn't about the court. This is about an ongoing four-year-long attempt to remove this president from office. For whatever reason people cannot wrap their heads around the fact that this election is not an isolated incident. Everything from the last four years used to oust Trump from the office of the Presidency will come to play in this election.

This election is an .... election. That's all it is. They said "don't impeach" for the Mueller report stuff "vote him out" instead. So we did.

The election and its management isn't a conspiracy, it's just an election. Slightly out of the normal because of that whole pandemic thing, but otherwise not all that different than before. Biden's vote margin over Trump isn't that different than Clinton's but it is large enough for him to prevail.

That sounds like the conspiracy that is not to be named.

Without naming any specific conspiracies...

The "evidence" has long been exhausted in this case. The only thing left is the spinning of wild tales that come either from grossly erroneous and mistaken "analysis" of voter data and results or wholly fabricated claims. Some of these get repeated enough and develop enough mythology to get their own "named" conspiracy theory.

"based on the more convincing evidence and its probable truth or accuracy, and not on the amount of evidence."

Emphasis in the original. Waving stacks of affidavits is an appeal to amount, which does not get you any closer to a preponderance.

You are arguing a moot point. Your argument that there cannot be separate factions because both sides feel marginalized, maybe even targeted by each other, make no sense. We have two sides that feel exactly the same about each other.
I never said "that there cannot be separate factions because both sides feel marginalized, maybe even targeted by each other". Now you're just making things up and saying that I said them, just so you can argue against your own concoction. We do NOT "have two sides that feel exactly the same about each other." Where do you come up with these fantasies? Yourself, or from someone else (and if so, who?)??

Again, this is a mischaracterization. People who live in fear are not comfortable with the fact that they will one day die, nor that they will in fact endure hardship while they are alive. Such is life. Just suck it up and move forward. What is there to be afraid of? You complain, moan and groan, and go on with your life. Or you die... and for me that is not a scary concept to finally go home. Finally, get to EOS.

The only thing that is going to suck is going thru it.
And here you go beating the drum for doom and gloom, same old story... You want to keep living in fear, go right ahead. I'm very happy with the life the Lord has given me. I wish you could feel the same about yours. You're gearing up for a "war" that will never, ever happen. Go right ahead, but don't be upset that I don't believe your fantasy.

Well you are already wrong... do you agree with me?
No, I'm already right and you're already wrong. There are no "warring factions" and no "civil war" going on right now, so I'm right and you're wrong about that. And it will remain that way. Now, if you want to live in denial and pretend there is a "civil war" then go right ahead, but don't get frustrated when I (or anyone else) won't believe you (and we don't).

You make a lot of claims without ever providing proof. Then you complain that you don't know how to reach people. Are you ever going to see the correlation between those two things? Or will you just g on ignoring it forever???

Are you willing to lay down your sentiments and live under Trump as this election currently stands?
My sentiments being what exactly? As for Trump, I've been living under him for 4 years and will continue to live under him until Jan 20. What is your point? What makes you think I would do otherwise? What in your mind would I do to not "live under Trump" - move to Canada for a couple months? i don't know what you are talking about (aboot?). Honestly, I have no idea what is going on in your mind that you think there is a civil war or that I am going to somehow not "live under Trump" (what does that even mean?????) for the next couple months or so...

I am telling you I don't understand as if there's a possibility you may explain and clarify, but I know from experience with you that you won't, and that instead you'll get frustrated and make some remark about "why do I even bother, I am speaking English, I can't make you understand, I can't reach you," blah blah blah ad nauseum... It's always the same old, same old.

Check back with me whenever and I'll remind you that there is still no civil war among warring factions - check back in a day, a week, a month, a year, a decade, whtaever... And if I'm wrong, I will change my avatar to a Trump avatar. If you believed in your own tall tales you'd agree to change to a Biden avatar if the "civil war" didn't happen, but you know you'd lose that wager. Same old nonsense...

This entire situation would already be over, and Biden would be on his way to the WH if the Dem just provided the information needed to quell suspicions. That would be it... done. Honestly, even me... if you were able to prove for a fact Biden legitimately won, I would move on with my life.

Aah, so that's how it works in your world. The accused has to prove their innocence and not that the accuser has to prove that the accused is guilty.

Well not that I expect anything else from a person who kicks puppies and steals milk from kittens. Now if you can only provide the information needed to that you legitimately do not do any such thing, I would move on, but alas...

So, did I do it right?

From one of the lawyers I follow on Twitter:

Folks, if you're not following a whole bunch of lawyers on here you're probably not seeing the way the collective legal community is in shock at how bad Trump's lawyers are. Even if you are, it's probably hard to grasp the detail of how truly bad it is. So here's an analogy:

Imagine you moved to a new town and are going to see a new doctor for the first time. And when he walks in, he has his stethoscope dangling out of his [rear end]. And then he pulls it out and says "OK, I want to take your temperature now" and moves to place it on your forehead.

That's the net effect of what we're watching the Giuliani clown crew do. Everything they are doing is wrong in literally every procedural and substantive way any of us could have imagined - and also in ways none of us could have invented if we'd tried to predict it in advance.

They are inventing entire new categories of legal ineptitude. This is the worst lawyering I've ever seen, and folks, I've seen some [a bad word].

I know, I know... I'm supposed to be too mortified with embarrassment to post this but....

Why is Rudy stonewalling and not showing the evidence to judges?

If it was me, and those supporting my positions were making arguments with such paucity of evidence and such faulty reasoning, I'd certainly be embarrassed. There's nothing worse for your side than someone making such badly formed and formulated arguments. It just ends up poisoning the well.

There's no specifics, at all. Just wild claims backed up with zero actual support. The "100 affidavits", the "400%" overvoting, the "statistical experts". All mentioned, but nothing of substance provided.

It's like a primary school child going to show and tell and claiming they have a dragon for a pet. And that it breaths fire and can fly. And that there are thousands of other people. But, when asked for evidence of such a dragon, 'poof', it disappears.

For what reason? If you knew the truth you would be too embarrassed to speak if it was not socially accepted? It's all about that status. This is why people get hoodwinked into following right into destroying their own freedoms. It's too embarrassing to say something... Oh my, what would their Jones think?

I explained before... I am not a fair weather Christian and my faith doesn't run off solar panels. Got full power in the darkness of night.

I have already told you... I believe they are just trying to get into a court to be heard before they start laying it all out. That and they are going to play off of Powell's case law.

This isn't criminal law. No one is innocent until proven guilty in a civil case. In civil court you fulfill the burden of proof by the preponderance of evidence or you don't.

Congrats on all the gold stars BTW.

If they laid it all out they could get into court without delay and be on the path to SCOTUS already.
