Agreed, but then in Evidence of Election Fraud @LostMarbels says "But she is" [part of the Trump team]

What I see is classic Trump-style obfuscation and deflection and projection.
  • @lasthero says she is part of the Trump team because he heard Trump say she is
  • LostMarbels says she's not (or she isn't any longer) and accompanies this claim with grandiose statements like 'I'm speaking English' as if lastheor or anyone else is too ignorant to understand
  • lasthero reiterates he thought she is on the Trump team because Trump said she is
  • LostMarbels replies with "But she is" (note it's not "But she was", but rather "But she is", present tense).
  • LostMarbels makes a statement about others being "dense" for not understanding him and being "enraged" and having "hatred" because they are purportedly not understanding him; this is projection of the gross frustration he appears to be feeling as well as an attempt to cloud the discussion with strongly emotion
Am I missing something? That's just how I see this oddly overblown side argument.

Yes... things as simple as a simple manner of speech, idiom or term of acceptance.

A truly simple comment that was not accepted as such. Nothing more.

Two contradicting statements from you and then a strongly emotional reaction from you when people noted the contradiction.

Pretty spot on.

I don't know, I never saw that movie. It looked terrible.
It was pretty terrible - don't waste your time. I wasted time and an expensive movie theater ticket and snacks to see it and I'll never get any of that back.

Anyways, back to what I was saying, the Trump campaign is laying down misinformation. Sidney is 'fired' and Giuliani is all that is left. Now what happens is all the media rejoice over the failure and go right back to attacking Giuliani and Trump's team. Enjoy...

Why would anyone think that? We know she and Giuliani weren't the only people on the 'team'.

I honestly have no Idea how to conclusively provide anything on this forum any longer. It has become a mosh pit. Maybe Discussion and Debate should be changed to Ridicule and Opinions.

No one has any burden of factually presenting arguments or counterarguments... it is a mud flinging contest.

Then why are you still here?

And I don't mean that abrasively, it's a legit question. You've always been a bit aggressive, but ever since November 4, you've been progressively moreso. You honestly seem to hate this board, so I wonder why you stay.

No. I enjoy it too much... how would my life be complete without you in it?

You said the name of the forum yourself - "Discussion and Debate". Yet, you are also complaining about the fact that it consists of, well, discussion and debate.

In both discussion and debate, people present their views. People's views are made up of their opinions, of course, but the discussion/debate part comes into play in talking about those views and opinions. It is at that point where providing facts and sources for one's views and opinions becomes the whole point of the discussion/debate.

If you find that providing opinions is just "mud-slinging" and "ridicule" then I don't know why you engage in it. Furthermore, while you bemoan said "ridicule" and "mud-slinging", you really don't substantiate it with any examples of it. i don't see ridicule or mud-slinging as being the majority of what goes on in these forums, and certainly not in these most recent posts with you.

It appears to me that you find disagreement to be "mud-slinging" and "ridicule". If I'm wrong, feel free to provide me with examples. To be completely honest, I've only seen you make statements like 'I'm speaking English' as though others are too ignorant to understand what you're saying, and assert that others are "enraged" and expressing "hatred". That's the only ridicule and mud-slinging I'm really seeing right now - feel free to point out where any of it was directed at you by me or anyone else, though.

Bottom line, it is a "Discussion and Debate" forum, so you should be expect that here.

One of the biggest things touted by the Trump supporters is the assembly of signed affidavits of people claiming to have spotted voting irregularities. They consider this to be evidence. However, as a comparison, look at all the people who claim to have seen extraterrestrial aliens. It's a very large number. If I count all those as strong evidence, then we can conclude that space aliens have been visiting us for a long while. It's not strong evidence, though. Every claim needs supporting evidence. Every person may be mistaken in their interpretation of what they saw, or outright lying, especially if they've already have a very strong bias towards their conclusion. Someone who believes there are aliens among us will be more prone to interpret all kinds of natural or man-made phenomena as alien in nature.

Someone who is strongly biased to believe that there's election fraud may mistakenly believe they've seen fraud. Some who wants Trump to win may perjure themselves if they think they can get away with it. And some may actually find cases of legitimate fraud. But until they have supporting evidence, all their affidavits are hearsay, which isn't going to go anywhere in court. Providing a list of affidavits is pointless without the supporting evidence. We've already seen a number of cases explained away with conflicting evidence, and quite a few lawsuits thrown out of court.

I want any and all fraud exposed, and the perpetrators punished. But at the same time, I don't want votes thrown out for frivolous reasons, mistaken claims of fraud, or outright lies. I don't want our democratic processes to be buried in mud thrown by people with no real justification. We worked hard across the country to get a voting system to be proud of, and we're not going to let it be wrecked.

Yeah, silly me for thinking that when Trump said she was a part of the team,he meant that she was part of the team. That's my fault for taking the things Trump says seriously.
You have to listen to what is in his heart - you know, a few quarter pounders and some KFC.
