Agree, yet Jesus didn't fill the wedding jars with spirit.
There's an awful lot of unnecessary risk of harm here, to yourself and to others, ... which is why the Lord would have us spend our time in a more heathful way.He didn't say exactly, but I assume it means leaving the house and getting totally, out-of-mind, intoxicated.
About abusing the temple and all that. Besides, a clear head can be an advantage sometimes.There's an awful lot of unnecessary risk of harm here, to yourself and to others, ... which is why the Lord would have us spend our time in a more heathful way.
It costs to live. If he isn't paying his costs to live, ... then somebody else is ...I have someone in my life I know who just wants to do drugs and skim by without a job;
I don’t have authority to tell him what he should and shouldn’t do. I can encourage but maybe that is not his route he wanna go on he gotta make his own choices as a man.
Depends on what is wished for the future. Attaining a productive role in society requires much effort and clear thinking. One bad habit is all it takes to ruin that ...In my opinion, moderation is the key factor. If someone can balance a job, and responsibilities without falling off the deep end, then maybe that's not going too far. Maybe such a person who also loves God and what is good could be one of the flock.
Agreed but one must remember that our initial role is productivity to the Kingdom and not the world of man.Attaining a productive role in society requires much effort and clear thinking. One bad habit is all it takes to ruin that ...
These are, likely, people who want to see him remain productive, non-addicted, ... and out of prison ...He says his actions make other people he's close to angry with him, because they don't want him to go out and party all night. He said they denigrate and belittle him, and they do it out of disrespect for his own freedom... He says they want to "control" him, and that everyone has been "trained" into siding with this controlling, narcissistic type of behavior, but in reality, it actually isn't rational.
Jesus provided the wedding party with wine, in a land where fresh water was scarce.Agree, yet Jesus didn't fill the wedding jars with spirit.
Steady effort and clarity of mind and spirit is vital to productivity in the Kingdom as well ...Agreed but one must remember that our initial role is productivity to the Kingdom and not the world of man.
I thought he turned the jars of water into wine, and they had a party.
If that's the case, ... then maybe you shouldn't be getting married ...Depends who you are marrying
Those who love you can forgive many things.But He did condone forgiveness
Those who love you can forgive many things.
Your right, only God knows the heart so repentance is the way forward with the power of the Holy Spirit. Conflating the two is not wise as true repentance is "changing one's mind" and not the act of remorse/confession.That's interesting... As a Catholic I never knew that, I thought we had to actually be sorry for sins, and vow to try and not do them again or else the whole confession isn't valid, and forgiveness isn't granted... I thought you can't "fool" God...
That is often said with no scripture to back it. Are we talking a drunken man in his tent in the OT or perhaps that it does not put the will of God before the will of man?Heavy intoxication is a sin.
