Hi LC,
Yes, but if only he would show such noble effort in the things that are important. Trying to heal the chasm of division, establishing a working effort to control the spreading of the pandemic that has come upon the world. Encouraging and helping in getting the legislature to provide help for those found in need during this crisis. If he had handled those much more important issues, then he probably wouldn't be in this position where he now has to 'try his hardest, even to the bitter end'.
As I see it, the reason he now has to 'try his hardest even to the bitter end', is because the American people haven't seen him using such similar effort in governing. I mean, that is the job of the President of the United States. He seems to have spent most of his time raining pain and suffering on anyone or group that he feels are against him. That's just not the job of the President of the United States. Trust me, every president has had detractors and some very powerful and loud. Look at what President Obama had to work with in encouraging and building support for the ACA. But none have spent the majority of their time governing trying to settle perceived 'scores'. None have lied to us in the avalanche of lies that we are hearing from the office and administration of this president. With all the 'trying' to salvage his political career, we're all watching him go out every day to play more golf while people are dying and grasping for a lifeline to hold on to for financial help. Really???? That's what you see as 'trying his hardest, even to the bitter end'?
I mean, honestly, right now, Donald Trump is the very picture of what I believe most people conjure in their minds when they say Nero fiddled as Rome burned.
BTW, from what has come of all his court filings, I think you may have mistyped what you believe Donald Trump is doing. I see that he's 'lying his hardest, to the bitter end'.
God bless,
ted
