You may not realize this....but Portland has still been dealing with riots.

Thankfully, they seem to finally be getting some politicians willing to stand up to these people.

Commissioner-Elect Mingus Mapps Blisters Portland Protesters, Referring to Some as “the White Mob”

Apparently, the mob is unhappy with the Democratic process so they're trying to intimidate politicians into changing their votes and support defunding the police.

In one of his first public appearances since his election to the Portland City Council on Tuesday, Commissioner-elect Mingus Mapps denounced leftist protesters who vandalized the home of Commissioner Dan Ryan on Thursday night in retribution for his vote to preserve the police budget
.

They may not be numerous....but these criminals seek to undermine the very foundation of our democracy. There's no real point in electing officials who espouse your views if they can be intimidated by mobs for the way they voted.

"On a personal level, I want to say something to Commissioner Ryan: I feel you," Mapps said. "Your story reminds me of my story and it reminds me of the African American story.…I know what it's like to wait up for the white mob to roll up on your house in the middle of the night because you have the audacity to vote or you had the audacity to hope.

Glad someone finally said it....let's hope this signals a change where these politicians rediscover their spines.

Tell me, when exactly did the protestors in Portland become a "white mob" I do not recall seeing much that was white as I watched the mob.

You misread his quote. He was saying he could relate to Ryan because of his own experience. His experience had been with white supremacists, "white mobs". He wasn't describing the people who vandalised Ryan's house as a white mob.

Well Portland is 77% white.

Election is over. Nobody cares about BLM protests or police brutality anymore. Oh...and systemic racism isn't a thing anymore either. The only reason why politicians are "finally standing up" is because they believe Biden will become president so BLM isn't politically convenient anymore. I think I will start a thread on that topic.
