In other words, you want a better economy. Trump gave you that, along with record-low unemployment among blacks. "The Left" only promises to give them whatever they can manage to take away from others.
Well, no. And no. And no. What we aim to achieve is an economy that facilitates upward social mobility at all levels and serves the people, not just the top. Trump has by no means given us that; economic mobility under Trump has suffered while industry profits and unemployment numbers have continued along the trend set by Obama. No, there’s nothing you can cite that genuinely indicates Trump is responsible for economic gains by the lower classes that the left wouldn’t also support. And they’re not nearly enough.
Appearance? You mean the appearance of virtue signaling? Don't you think people can easily see through that?
BTW, when did I make a statement about MLK in a movie? I was referring to the real person and what he said his dream was.
No, I mean literal, physical appearance. You seem to be having trouble grasping the concept of casting. Casting has always been subject to appearance guidelines. Producers have a certain look in mind for a certain character or group of performers, and they will hire actors for their projects accordingly. For example, a movie about MLK will necessarily have a black person playing the lead role. In the exact same way, it is perfectly reasonable for casting directors to hire with skin color as a criterion. If they’re pledging to hire at least 50% actors of color, that’s their prerogative. There’s no need to go all social justice warrior on them. It’s TV.
Well, sorry for not being one of those people who make the blanket assumption that I don't have something just because someone else does have something. It's a good thing that those who started this country didn't operate that way, or we'd still be living in the stone age.
Drivel. The founding fathers owned slaves and genuinely believed black people to be lesser beings. It appears some people still think that way.
