President-elect Biden is right - more people will likely die if the transition is not a smooth and efficient one.

It's disgusting how Trump and his contingent are putting politics above the lives of people. It is certainly not a pro-life stance by any means. It's one thing that Trump and his folks want to play silly games and pretend that they have some kind of legal battle that can change the outcome of the election, but when it starts to cause people to die then it's no longer funny. It's actually disgusting. They even know that they have no chance of the results changing, yet they are being difficult out of spite and bitterness. Again, that's bad enough, but to show no concern for people's lives is what's really grotesque and horrible.

It certainly does prove that getting rid of Trump was the right outcome for the country, however. He could salvage his reputation quite a bit if he did the right thing and worked for a smooth transition to the Biden Administration, but it looks like he's going to go down bitter, angry, and fighting, all at the cost of people's lives. Shameful.

'More people may die': Biden urges Trump to aid transition

"WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) — President-elect Joe Biden on Monday warned of dire consequences if President Donald Trump and his administration continue to refuse to coordinate with his transition team on the coronavirus pandemic and block briefings on national security, policy issues and vaccine plans."

Trump is reported to not have met with the administration's coronavirus team for 5 months.

e.g. --
Video: Officials say Trump hasn’t attended a coronavirus task force meeting in 5 months

It seems at times to me as if he is...unaware of what you or I can learn easily about the virus spread and projections.

That he believed his own rhetoric that the virus is going away (while it intensifies in reality).

Or it could be he doesn't really care that much about the lives that could be saved by a higher level of mask wearing.

My guess at the moment is the former -- he doesn't want to know much on it, or can't.

While that would be ignorance that may seem at first to just be a criminal neglect in his office duties (to defend the United States), it could possibly be instead mental incompetence. (i.e. -- lack of awareness of the real world to a degree that is crippling)
I'm not sure which.

There will be plenty of time for transitioning after December 14th. Until then, the American people need assurance that this new election process worked.

Trump is a very flawed human being who is in way beyond his depth and it has become obvious over the past four years. As a narcissist, he cannot believe that he lost and he will grasp at anything be it illegal or irrational to salvage his legacy. If nothing else works he will attempt to drag the nation down with him.

Who says he's right! You and Biden? The President has a distribution plan ready to go as soon as medical officials give the green light. He already described it BEFORE the election! More political grandstanding on the behalf of the Dems as far as I'm concerned.

In other words Mr President, admit defeat NOW! The answer to that is NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! If Biden wants to tweak the distribution plan of Trump after he gets sworn in IF HE GETS THE PRESIDENCY, he's well within his rights to do so.

He hasn't even stated what he finds so wrong about the President's distribution plan, so maybe you can tell us...what's so wrong with it? Reports I've read say he's already having it mass produced and has the military ready to dispatch it.

So many who claim to be Christian are so easily duped by this end times deception, this is further separating of His sheep from the adversaries goats.
Jehovah Rapha is the God who heals us, He promises over and over that no weapon formed against us will prosper, if we stay in Him.
Most who claim Christ aren't really Christian, Jesus spoke of this, of how there would be an outward form of godliness denying the power, that is where we are today.
We should all be at the point Jesus was and modeled for us, "I only do what I see the Father do, I only say what I here the Father say.

Fear mongering? The US has added nearly 1.1 million confirmed coronavirus cases in a week. At the present 2.3% case fatality rate, that's ~25,000 deaths.

Biden is obviously trying to avoid inheriting the mother of all public health crises for his administration.

Working with the existing in-place Trump Administration officials and health experts in the bureaucracy isn't fear mongering. It's the bare minimum that should be occurring. It's essential.

If the Trump Administration had any value for the lives of US citizens, it wouldn't be pushing back on this. Even if the outcome of the election was uncertain - which it isn't - it should be cooperating with the Biden campaign until the outcome was, on the chance that it would smoother transition and thus possibly saving American lives.

As an outside observer, what the Trump Administration is doing with this transition period makes me both angry and despondent.

Everybody is a flawed human being.

There's a difference between a mirror with a crack in it and one shattered into million pieces.

Asimov has an apt quote:

"... when people thought the earth was flat, they were wrong. When people thought the earth was spherical, they were wrong. But if you think that thinking the earth is spherical is just as wrong as thinking the earth is flat, then your view is wronger than both of them put together."

So what else could any President do on this file? The vaccine is being mass produced. The military is on hold waiting for the green light to dispatch it. So maybe you could help me out and tell me what else could be done. Essential things ARE taking place.

Biden is just a fear monger. Can't believe anyone takes him seriously.

Biden is being quite realistic.

Trump has likened himself a "wartime leader" and said that he down played the threat of COVID so as not to panic the American people. Churchill was faced with a similar situation 80 years ago and he told the British people straight up how bad it was and called on them "To fight on the beaches, on the landing ground, in the hills and in the streets. We will never surrender." That is how a real leader behaves. The British people stepped up. Trump had that same chance. Sadly, he never took it and the nation is paying a steep price for that.

Additionally, Biden (and most Americans) don't want those people to die who will if this thing doesn't get tamped down some in the next two months. I don't know if Trump doesn't care if more people die, or something worse...

Speaking of flat earth, SeventyOne's support of Trump is still baffling, as according to his beliefs, the man must be in on the conspiracy to claim the earth is round.

I've confronted him about this inconsistency several times, but he has never answered me.

No. Biden is just a fear monger. They will continue to demonize Trump at every level as long as the sycophants lap it all up.

I wish Trump lived on my block, a next door neighbor, so I could invite him over for back yard cookouts, and make him a friend. I'd never vote for Trump for the office of president though. He's not well suited for it.

Biden is not the President-elect. When Biden was asked by Chris Wallace if he would not declare victory until the election was independently certified Biden said YES. Shame on him, look how long it took him to go back on his word! Joe also needs to tell his supporters to stop the violence, have any of you seen the video of the Biden people attacking a family in the March for Trump in Washington D.C.? Or have you seen the sucker punch thrown at a Trump supporter? Shame on the major media as well for their censorship of these incidents.
