Doubting is a sure sign that one is not. A Holy Spirit filled Christian does not doubt. Be blessed.

The questions how and why are important, but you cannot answer them unless you include the answer to the question of Whom.

Whom: Jesus, the Christ (Matthew 1:21)
How: He lived a sinless life, died upon a cross, and rose from the dead. (Hebrews 4:15; Romans 4:25)
Why: To grant believers the forgiveness of all their sins, and give them a heart that loves God (1 John 1:9; Hebrews 10:16-17)

Actually, the tiniest faith, even as small as a mustard seed, is all you need.
Luke 17:6
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and be planted in the sea’; and it would obey you."

Repentance is the fruit of true, saving faith. If there is no love for God, then faith is only counterfeit and you are not saved.

Yes, and it grows into wisdom and knowledge of that faith never doubting along the way,

We are told to always be ready to give a reason for what and why we believe.

That means we must know what and why we believe.
In order to do this we have to ask questions, to have things we do not understand, even to have doubts.

It is only wrong if nothing is done about those doubts.
Equally it is wrong to say one must just believe or to only have faith.

Christianity is based on historical facts and is totally reasonable.

With all due respect.
Having a lack of understanding or knowledge is not the same as doubting. Doubting Jesus Christ of Nazareth is not the evidence of a Holy Spirit filled Christian.

It is only if nothing is done about doubts that they are wrong.

Think about it.

An inexperienced Christian encounters arguments never met before and has no answer for them and as a result develops doubts.
That Christian is not lost, nor has he blaspheme the holy spirit or is no longer a Christian.
He is simply unable to answer an intellectual challenge.
His response should be two fold, to continue to trust God and to investigate the answer to the challenge.
His having doubts is ok, so long as answers are being sort.

Only God really knows for sure, but I think we can have some reassurance in that we do our best to practice the values of the Kingdom of Heaven; these are the people God wants to be with him.
