'He was with God in the beginning' (John 1:2) The LORD Jesus Christ was with God in the beginning of time. But it is important to realise that He was with God and was God through all eternity.. 'But as for you,Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah. From you,One will go forth for me to be Ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago from the days of eternity' (Micah 5:2) Jesus who was born as a child in Bethlehem was the Son of God,who existed in all eternity,as complete, perfect and Self-Sufficient. ................'He will be called Wonderful Counselor,Mighty God,Everlasting Father,Prince of Peace' (Isaiah 9:6)...Before the mountains were brought to form,or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting,You are God' (Psalms 90:2) The Messiah was pre-existent! Jesus said,'Before Abraham was I am' (John 8:58) God revealed Himself in the Old Testament as I am. God is Alpha and Omega,Beginning and End. Jesus,is also! (Revelation 1:8) Before all and surpassing all! 'To Thee most perfectly expressed, the Father's glories shine of the full Deity possessed, eternally Divine. Worthy,O Lamb of God art Thou, that every knee to Thee should bow' (Joseph Conder)

The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Through Him all things were made (Colossians 1:16). Our Maker, our Lord and Saviour came, not to be served, but to serve (Matthew 20:20–28). He gave His life as a ransom for many (Matthew 20:28).
The Lord who came as a servant is also our King (Revelation 17:14), the same Lord who created the stars and the heavens (Isaiah 40:26), and whom the wind and the waves obey (Matthew 8:24-27). Our Lord asks us "What do you want me to do for you" (Mark 10:51).
There is no better homage or compliment we can render to the Lord than to put our trust in Him that he will provide us with what we need (John 14:13).

Beautifully put!

I often find myself in discussions with people who have found themselves living in the wilderness.
For some of them, things don't seem to be going the way they want in their lives and they have come to the belief that God doesn't care about them any more. Others believe that having stumbled one time too many that they are too "bad" to be loved by God. They believe that verses such as John 3:16 and Jeremiah 31:3 apply to everyone else but not to them.

Later on, most of these people seem to bounce back. Their faith is reignited and much stronger than ever before. They look back at their time in the wilderness and realise how much they had learned - about love, about life, and about God. Even though they had given up on themselves, God hadn't given up on them. Perhaps sometimes He allows his people to go through times of difficulty and uncertainty to teach them valuable lessons about faith, trust and obedience. The father of the prodigal son is longsuffering and patient, rich in mercy, and always ready to hold us and embrace us in his love.

"His love for us is strong, and his faithfulness is eternal. Praise the LORD!" (Psalm 117:2 GNB).
