We praise you and thank you , our God , our Father .

You are the source of all unity , of all reconciliation .

May Joseph Biden be your instrument in bringing unity and reconciliation to a divided , a fragmented land .

May St Joseph , patron of Joe Biden , intercede that he may be "a just man" .

Too funny. I wish people would be intelligent when they post stuff. Joe Biden IS NOT President Elect. He is the presumed winner.
I agree. But he is the next president. I cannot feasibly imagine any other scenario.

Donald Trump is most likely to make the Biden administration's life a living hell the next term. I hardly imagine that we've seen the last of president Trump to be honest. He'll most likely start campaigning again a year or two from now with rallies gaining tempo as the primaries are approaching. The list of Biden mistakes will be filled throughout four years, and it will be a long list indeed, and the ex- president will fill his rifle with some heavy political bullets. As a former president he's likely to enjoy having a rather massive network to work within. If he plays his cards ruthlessly my guess is that he'll be the president elect four years from now. He has his own congregation (or sect if you like) and it'll easily be mobilized in times due.
Any other takes on this?

before we start the hypotheticals, let's wait to see what happens.

As far as I know, not one state has certified the election results. Until that happens, and a candidate receives 270 electoral votes, we only have a presumptive winner.

I'll follow the Constitution

if he does come back years from now, he will need to be a new Donald Trump.
This time around, he played his cards his own way, and my guess is that he lost.
(not saying how, just that he lost.)

He has lessons to be learned, and he needs the time and the opportunity to do so.

So let's see if he's ready to follow the OT example of Joseph, (Gen. 37).
Joseph who began as the cherished youngest son of his father, who then took a tumble with help from his brothers, and eventually landed on his feet as a King in Egypt.

Lol! You crack me up Stefanos. :D

I’m sure the Little Sisters of the Poor are over the moon given they are a promised target of Biden’s.
Reminds me of the French Revolution, which only ended with a holy offering of another group of nuns.

God , our Heavenly Father , source of power and might, wisdom and justice,
through you authority is rightly administered,
laws are enacted, and judgment is decreed.
Assist with your spirit of counsel and fortitude
the President-elect Biden and other government leaders of the United
States of America .
May they always seek
the ways of righteousness, justice and mercy.
Grant that they may be enabled by your powerful protection
to lead the country with honesty and integrity.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Well that won't happen, that's for sure. Donald Trump is Donald Trump. Why should he change when he believes himself to have been reelected? Besides after 74 years on this planet I doubt he's able to tranform and adapt. A more benign Trump would probably fail to convince anyone, and he would most likely be accused of acting. Well, Biden isn't the worst that could happen anyways - his vice president is.

I know that it might be hard to believe, but when they come up against a brick wall,
some people stop,
some people try to climb over the wall,
some people look for a hidden doorway,
and others wait for an earthquake to knock the wall down.

If President Trump is smart, he will wait for the earthquake.:crossrc:

Whataboutism is running high, but what would happen if President Trump decides to instruct his yesmen in Pentagon to place troops on american soil (insurrection act)?
I'm aware that it's a highly unlikely event, but I'm curious about it nevertheless.

The media all around the world is pushing a narrative of Trump trying desperately to 'overthrow' Joe Biden, as if Biden was actually President already. Unfortunately there's sheeple everywhere who are falling for it, that statement from the US Bishop's conference being just one example.

Has anyone else noticed that large numbers of conservative voices on Youtube are being demonetised for 'reasons'?

Real Clear Politics has

Biden 259
Trump 217

Undecided: Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

Its gonna be a nail biter. I think Trump will get Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia. It will come down to PA.

If the Republican controlled Legislature in PA had any balls, they would recognize the corruption that took place and place Trump electors. According to the Constitution, they can do exactly that.

It is highly unlikely. And if it did happen, the generals would not go along with it. So it won't happen. The generals know that their whole chain of command would not go along, so they wouldn't dare do an end run around the constitution. And I've never been in the military but I have taken an oath to defend the constitution like so many millions of Americans that will not tolerate anyone who, if they were not elected to stay in office, stays in office anyway. Trump knows that. The military knows that. So it won't happen. Those who scaremonger about it are simply scaremongers. So don't worry about it.

The flip side of this is that the military will not lift a finger to oust Trump either. Whether or not they think the election was a steal or not. It's not their place. They will not touch it with a twenty foot pole, not coming to the aid of either Biden or Trump. Those two have to figure out some other way than the US military to solve their issues.

Thanks for helpful insights, I appreciate it. I feel certain that President Trump will scram in times due anyway. He's many things, but totally out of his mind is not one of them. I suspect that it's more about establishing a narrative of a two time winner than anything else. If he decides to run again it could prove to be vital for his chances. On the other hand it can prove catastrophic for his chances as his narcissism comes out in full display. Hard to guess I suppose.

The "Stop the Steal" march organised for Washington is being censored by big tech. Their facebook page got shut down, Eventbrite took down their event organising page and falsely emailed all who registered that the event had been cancelled. Even if you are an ardent Biden supporter, these things should cause you great concern because it is only a matter of time before these abuses of power affect your free speech too.
