It doesn't matter who the rules of the Earth are, Jesus is the King!

I am not saying we shouldn't be interested in the politics, but I found many Christians being being too involved in politics, spending more time with politics than they do with God. I hope no one here thinks that the politicians or anything on Earth will bring them peace!

Read the Bible, things are only going to get worse. As Psalm says, in the end, every king of the Earth will be against Jesus 'He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth (Psalm 110:6).

Just look at it, people constantly fight because their guy did not get elected. So what? Our citizenship is in Heaven and not on Earth! God is in total control, just have faith in Him.

because while we are on this Earth the president is the face of our country and his are largely the policies we live under. That is why it is so important. Not to mention a fair election which with legal action going on is in question.

I can only speak for myself. But the Lord rebuked me earlier for keeping too much focus on the race and not on Him. Ultimately, He's on HIs throne and that's really all that matters.

I can't speak for others but we (the community of Christians I'm a part of) got involved with politics because we see it as a "who is my neighbor?" sort of thing:
Luke 10:25-37 said:
25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?”

27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.”

29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”

30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’

36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”

37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”

Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
we try to help our neighbors, and one of those ways we try to help with is being involved in politics. It's also part of the whole Scripture in James:
James 2:14-26 said:
14 What use is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone says he has faith, but he has no works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? 17 In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.

18 But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” 19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder. 20 But are you willing to acknowledge, you foolish person, that faith without works is useless? 21 Was our father Abraham not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected; 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a friend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 In the same way, was Rahab the prostitute not justified by works also when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26 For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
The President (and on down to our local politicians) can do a LOT of damage to the people who live on the margins of America, and those people on the margins are who our neighbors are.

Why do people care who the president is?
Because some leaders do a better job of leading than others. We vote because don't agree on which person that is.

That's understandable, what I'm implying is, let's not forget who the true King is, and who is the one who gives the power to the rulers. We might not agree with who the president is, but it is part of God's plan and we need to trust that.

I understand that, and I do not say that we should not care at all, or that we ignore politics, all I am saying is that we must remember Jesus is the King, and that we do not spent more time with the politics than we do with God. Unfortunately too many Christians, in my humble opinion, spend too much time worrying about Earthly things than they do Heavenly things.

This forum too, I think people spend more time talking about politics than they talk about the gospels. Yes, I know it's the election time, nevertheless Jesus always must be central of our life and everything we do. If Jesus was now on Earth amid all this chaos, what do you think He would do? He would go around people and preach the love, truth and judgement of God.

We must always think what Jesus would do and what He wants us to do. This pandemic also. We do not need to know why God allowed it, or to play the blame game, but we must ask ourselves, what would Jesus do? Would He be going around blaming people for the virus? Would He spend so much time with the politics? Or would He go around doing the will of the Father?
