It was a group of many people after the great disappointment from many different Church's that studied the scriptures after 1844 and found that the calculations of Daniel 8:14 and the 2300 year day prophecy was correct but the application to the second coming was not correct. A further study of the scriptures revealed that 1833-1844 was in reference to the Feast of Trumpets and the Great day of Atonement and that the work of JESUS had changed in the heavenly Sanctuary to the cleansing of the Sanctuary which happens just prior to the second coming.

Sda is just a Name ( church name) But the people who formed it, are still the same people who made wrong prophetic prediction of Christ second coming before they formed the church ( sda church) later...
Commandments are written about Christ...Now is about getting His Spirit to live in us...simple!

Regardless who formed the SDA church, and your belief is wrong about it, you should always follow the Bible.
The commandments are written for us so we know how God wants us to show love to Him (commandments 1-4) and how to love each other (commandments 5-10). The gift of the Holy Spirit helps us OBEY His commandments not disobey.
John 14:
15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. 19 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. 20 At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. 21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

No your wrong again. Please get your facts right before posting. The SDA Church founded in 1863 has never believed or taught the 2300 year day prophecy of Daniel 8:14 ending in 1844 is a reference to the second coming which is what the Millerite's taught. Your spreading misinformation again. Now please stop trying to hijack the thread. No one loves God dear friend by breaking His commandments. The scriptures have been shared with you in this regard many times already. The OP here is about the Sabbath. Do you have anything to share?

Hello LGW, there is No Daniel 14 in the bible...you mean Daniel 8:14..
So what made it not correct in their interpretation of Daniel 8:14? Maybe they do not have the Spirit? Something that we need to have in order to preach the correct message...don’t you think..

He who God sends speaks the Word of God and God does not give the Spirit by measure unto him. The religious teachers of the day of JESUS called him of the devil as well because they did not know the Spirit of which he spoke thinking all that time they knew God but did not know it was God who was talking to them that they hung on a tree and crucified rejecting what he came to give them. This OP is on the Sabbath do you have anything to share in regards to the OP here?

The religious people of the time of Christ do not know the truth...But what Jesus preached and predict is all Truth...Not the same to say to one of the founders of the sda in EG White...wrong prediction and I believe a wrong teachings...
Yes, we enter in to Gods Rest ( Sabbath) when we believe the Gospel..”whosever believeth in Him will Not perished But have eternal life”...

Jesus also kept the commandments of God including the Sabbath. Believing is important but the Bible says we must DO His commandments Revelations 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
Again Ellen White did NOT predict 1844, it was Miller and he was a Baptist at that time. Now sure what you don't understand about this, it was already clarified to you now multiple times.
If you really want to know about the origins of the SDA church maybe you should watch the official movie.

All scriptures were written about Him...including the 7th day Sabbath...who rested on the 7th day in creation?
yes I had a look at Wikipedia it states that sda comes out of the Millerite movement..

No. Your trying to claim that SDA believe the same as the Millerites in your half truth posts above. They do not. Please get your facts right before posting. I think you need to watch the Official movie before you can understand the facts.
Also God does not need to rest, the commandments were meant for us. Like thou shalt not kill or lie etc.
