I have studied death extensively but my fears have not subsided.

what specifically do you dread about death of the physical body?
I don’t think you are really understanding. I am a strong Christian but as I have aged this has become a real struggle for me.
I fear the process.
Also I struggle with doubting my faith.
Bear in mind that the fear of death is a completely normal, human thing. It's nothing new, it's a common thread for all of mankind throughout history. Yes, even for Christians. Often for us, the fear isn't about the afterlife, but other aspects. The contemplation of mortality; of our time being limited, of the inescapability, the ticking clock. The concept of losing control, of being helpless, slipping away into unconsciousness, never to return (at least to our current bodies/lives). Of having no choice of when or how it happens, whether it might be accompanied by pain, loneliness, panic, the grief of people we love. These can be terrifying thoughts for us, and they aren't due to lack of faith. They're part of being flesh and blood humans.
But to obsess over death, is to allow fear to rob you of your life, of the here and now. It skews your perspective, and sucks away any chance of feeling joy for the time that you do have here on earth. It takes a lot of reworking of our thought processes, to overcome these anxieties. But it is possible!
Do you not realise that you don't actually die? It's often referred to as "sleep" for that reason.I have studied death extensively but my fears have not subsided.

I know that is Christian theology. My problem is I have doubts about this. I often have thoughts believing that after death we cease to exist. Those thoughts scare me.
If you cease to exist then there is nothing to worry about. You need to reject your thoughts. Anything that is contrary to God's word is false and should be regarded as the enemy. Usually, it is an evil spirit injecting a though into your mind, pretending to be you. Make God's word your authority. There is nothing higher and nothing surer.I know that is Christian theology. Hebrews 2:Bear in mind that the fear of death is a completely normal, human thing. It's nothing new, it's a common thread for all of mankind throughout history. Yes, even for Christians. There is no reason or logic to your fears. Hebrews 2:14 "Now since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil, 15and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death."What do you mean? The threat of non existence is terrifying to me.
I have zero fear of death. Lord Jesus has set me free.
I am exactly as human, frail, fallible and weak as you are. Maybe more so. I had Atrial Fibrillation a year or so ago. I was about to have my heart restarted when God answered our prayers and my heart went back to normal. As I contemplated the possibility of my heart giving out completely, I was comforted by the thought that I would simply be stepping over a threshold to the next, infinitely better life. You need to face your fears and tell them where to go. Lord Jesus came to set captives free, not leave them to rot in prison. Fear is Satan's prison. Lord Jesus gives you the key and says, "Walk out of gaol". I'm no different from anyone else. All of God's people are entitled to freedom. Ask God to open your eyes to see what He has in store for you in the next life. The Truth will set you free. That’s great but it’s not the case for me. I struggle nearly every minute.
I'm happy for you. I hope all Christians may obtain that freedomHebrews 2:
