Well, that's that. When January arrives, we will never see the country that we have known up to that point again....it's over.
We are going to see bad times ahead. Very, very bad times. I was hoping against hope for a Trump victory and a massive Democratic defeat, so that for another four years, at least, some of the damage could be repaired, but there's no chance of that happening now.
I would counsel everyone reading this, if you are a believer, to get yourself right with God as soon as you can; we are going to see some things in the next few years that Americans haven't seen in 155 years...and in some cases, have never seen. The experience will not be pleasant. Life, I fear, is liable to become very cheap. And very precarious.
I am suffering from an extremely black depression at the present time, which is too deep even for rage, too deep even for despair.....it's more along the lines of a profound sense of betrayal. I haven't recognized much about this country anymore for a long time now, but I really believed that people were smarter than this. All I can do is shake my head and resign myself to what I know is coming.
It's been a good 245 years; but we are about to revert to what is the norm for most of mankind, through most of mankind's history. I may disappear from here after January....I don't know. I might not be posting anything....once we lose the actual freedom of thought and expression, there may not be much I can say.
