How do you know if you have the real Jesus ?

So are you asking can a person be saved by trusting in a man named Jesus.
Because if a person believes in the Jesus in the Bible, they believe that Jesus is the Messiah The unique Son of God. And that Jesus is God come in the flesh. That is the Jesus of the Bible.
Any other Jesus is just a person named Jesus but that is not the Jesus of The Bible.
The Jesus in the Bible and who He is, is a black and white issue. You either do or you do not.

Jesus said those who confess me before me I will confess before My Father and those who deny Me before men I will deny before My Father in heaven. Matthew 10:32-33
John says in both 1 John and 2 John that the deceivers refuse to confess Christ has come in the flesh and remains in the flesh. John calls them the antichrists who are at work.
Paul in Romans 10:9-13 say to be saved one must confess Jesus is Lord(YHWH). He quotes Joel 2:32 where we read YHWH is Lord and says that Jesus is that Lord(YHWH) one must confess to be saved.

To confess that Jesus has come in the flesh is to confess that the Creator has come in the flesh.

Yes. God can do anything. Maybe God allows people to not accept Jesus to get other Christians involved with that person, like a test. God is infinite. There are infinite possibilities and possibly infinite solutions to problems. God doesn't have to always pick what seems to be the "best" solution. Jesus said that even rich people can be saved because "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH GOD".
Matthew 19, verses 23-26
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
26Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Imo, people who don't accept Jesus aren't completely at fault, if they are at fault at all. There are many factors that shaped one's beliefs, such as genetics, which are out of our control. God is unlikely to punish one for things that are out of their control.
We're not punished for things that are out of our control, such as sin committed by our parents.

Jesus said in John 8:24 that unless you believe I AM you will die in your sins. In John 8:58 Jesus said before Abraham existed, I AM. That is the Divine name YHWH. They tried to stone Him for His claiming to be God.

I experienced Jesus before I believed in him. It was the evidence of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in my heart that came upon me unexpectedly one day that caused me to believe in him. And to learn about him in the bible.
It was like going from the drudgery of everyday life to heavenly euphoria. Joy unspeakable! So I rely heavily on passages that speak of the Spirit bearing witness with our spirit that tells us we are saved.
Most of the Churches I attended taught that we must choose to believe through the power of the flesh before we can experience the witness of the Spirit. But I never felt comfortable with this.

Well, to be honest about it; I have never once experienced a close encounter with the real Jesus like Paul did. So I cannot attest, beyond a shadow of sensible doubt, that the Jesus I believe in is authentic.

Actually the Church at Smyrna was condemned. The message to them wasn’t near as good as the message to the Church in Philadelphia. The Church at Philadelphia was praised for their devotion to the word. On the other hand the Church at Smyrna received this message: “and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.“

Your deeds will reflect on who you are, especially when you go through the storm. If you have the real Jesus, you'll have the Holy Spirit also, and the job of the Spirit is to change you in such way you desire what God desires. You'll grown love towards God, and when you love someone, you'll do the things that of which the one you loves love. So you no longer live by the flesh but by the spirit.
If you are a Christian for some time now, and there's still no change in you, you still sin, you still don't live more and more as Christ as He is described in the Bible, then you don't have the Holy Spirit working in your live. Do you desire what God desires? Are you willing to let things that you desire go? Do you hate sin? Do you proclaim the gospel of Jesus without fear how people will look upon you? Do you fear God and not the World? Do you ever have Godly peace in your heart? Do you trust God even when He allows bad things in your life? If your doctor told you you will die in a week, are you going to be cheerful you going to see your saviour or are you going to thing about all the Earthly things? Are you the light of the world? Does everyone in your life see that you behave and live differently?

And faith without works is dead. A dead faith. A real living faith results in good works, the person bears much fruit as Jesus said and proves to be His disciple.
Jesus said why do you call Me Lord Lord and do not do what I say. To those He will say I never knew you, depart from Me !
