John 6:
39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should
lose nothing, but should raise it up on the last day.
40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and
believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up on the last day.
44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and
I will raise him up on the last day.
When does salvation come?
Conversion?-no, that is reconciliation.
Romans 5:10. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the
death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
2 Corinthians 5:
18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ,
and has given us the ministry of reconciliation,
19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Baptism?-no, that is crucifixion, [circumcision of Christ].
Romans 6:3. Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ
Jesus were baptized into His death?
Colossians 2:
11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands,
by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,
12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith
in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.
Regeneration?-no, being born from above is an absolute necessity for bearing fruit unto righteousness, receiving spiritual gifts and wisdom from above to edify the body of Christ.
This certainly does not occur automatically at conversion/reconciliation, and we are told a couple of dozen times that if we will continue and abide, we will bear fruit.
1 John 2:24. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning.
If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son
and in the Father.
1 Peter 1:
22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere
love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word
of God which lives and abides forever.
Matthew 24:13. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
Salvation comes at the Resurrection, unless of course,
you are yet alive at His appearing.
Luke 21:
27 Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because
your redemption draws near.
Romans 6:
4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ
was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also
shall be of the resurrection.
Those who are counted worthy are the children of the Resurrection.
Luke 20:
35 But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from
the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage;
36 nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are
children of God, being children of the resurrection.
Romans 1:4. Declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit
of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
Revelation 21:7. Whosoever overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be their God
and they shall be My sons and daughters.
The Gospel is not an automatic salvation, it is the Power of God
Unto Salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time.
1 Peter 1:
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.
5. Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be
revealed in the last time.
Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Do you receive salvation because you believe, or do you receive the Power
Of God unto salvation? Read carefully, or see what you want to see.
1 Peter 5:4. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown
of glory that does not fade away.
Philippians 3:
10 That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of
His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
11 If, by any means, I may attain the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on,
that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting
those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you
think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.
16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule,
let us be of the same mind.
39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should
