I attended Temple School it is exactly about the sabbaths which includes the seventh day one.

And How does your temple school change that fact that the Sabbath was instituted as a memorial to creation?

The early church worshipped every day before daylight. Romans 14 and History.

Yah, we have daily worship every morning and every night---and? Nothing to do with 7th day worship commanded by God.

Nothing can change that He created it to memorialize the end of His act of creation!! If He had ended at the 1st day---there would have been nothing else!! He declared the 7th day as sacred and sanctified---never said a thing about the 1st day except--It is good. If you wish to keep the 1sy day as sacred and holy that is you decision. God declared the 7th day as sacred, holy and said to worship Him on that day and that is whom I will obey. You can obey whomsoever you want.

I am not saying one day is more sacred than the other that seems to be be your idea of worshipping shadows that point to the eternal rest

His rest is not more holy than his work

The word rest(sabbath) is not a time sensitive word in any way shape or form from that standpoint things go astray.

It is one of those words rest (sabbath) that should of been written in a language we can understanding, the one meaning of. Not adding new meaning it can take away from the authors intent.

One of a few that the translators for some reason left the original like the word apostle meaning sent one. Then we compare the actual meaning .

We receive that rest called sabbath and not called the 7th day.

Whenever we mix faith the unseen understanding with what the eyes see the temporal. (shadow) of the eternal uninterrupted rest (sabbath) in the new heavens and earth .

The Genesis account pertaining to rest (sabbath) must be compared to Hebrew 4 where it defines the temporal rest. . if we do not harden our hearts as long as today is today (again temporal under the sun).

All die not receiving the eternal uninterrupted rest(sabbath )..

Hebrews 11:39-40 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

The bottom line is that you entirely ignore singing the Psalms despite the fact that the Bible has far more to say about singing Psalms thsn it does about the weekly Sabbath. Why is that?

I would suggest remembering the Psalms was God singing inspiring his words that he put on the mouth of His prophets like David . Just like the recorded prayers inspired from above .

Today God is no longer adding to His written word. The hymns inspired by mankind his invisible body the church vary. Some do support His prophecy others do harm doing despite to His grace in order to give the illusion God is still adding to His written word.. Like the song 'Ave Maria"

Zephaniah 3:17 [Full Chapter] The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Song of songs or song of Solomon is one continue song he sings to us. The poetic tongue of God hid in parables. No harm in singing the psalms (prophecy)

You can receive whatever you want!! Makes no difference to me. I choose to obey what God said, not the philosophies of man---it is that simple. And no, It is not I that says one day is more sacred than the others---GOD SAID IT. That doesn't seem to carry much weight with some people, it does to me. You can stand there and explain to God why His word and not even His written words, in His own hand, have no impact on you. You need not explain to me that you prefer your own words to His---you owe me no explanation at all. One day we will all stand before God and explain ourselves to Him. You can tell Him what part of "remember" you preferred to forget.

Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
Heb 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
Heb 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
Heb 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
Heb 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

You can turn and twist this anyway which you what. It doesn't say what you want it to say and does not alter the 7th day Sabbath one tiny bit. GOD CALLED THE 7TH DAY SABBATH ---
You are free to do whatever you want, you answer to no Sabbath Keeper about it---we are answering for ourselves. If you reject it---that's your choice. You can spout your rhetoric till He comes, it will not change my mind. We will both answer to Him.

God made it time sensitive. He never said choose a day out of seven to keep Holy. He never said a seventh day. He clearly stated and wrote The seventh day this was after creating days 1-6. He created the weekly cycle, He created the day He wanted us to make Holy, Sacred, the day He Blessed. You talk about honoring God though songs which is wonderful, why would you not want to honor Him on the Day He made Holy and Sanctified and asked us to Remember?

I would suggest reading the commandment again, it really is very specific.

Exodus20
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Jesus and the disciples kept the seventh day Sabbath, in the new earth we will be keeping the seventh day Sabbath Isaiah 66:23 Do you think God changed His mind about His Holy day? God told us we show our love to Him by keeping the commandments 1 John 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. Its also how we get to know God by keeping the commandments according to Jesus 1 John 2:3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

We were even warned about changing His laws and times which is the Sabbath (Law and Time) Daniel 7:25 He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High,
And shall intend to change times and law.

Honoring the Lord's Holy day and keeping His commandments is something we will all be accountable for and I believe Jesus is coming again and I want to do what Jesus says shows Him love and how we
know Him according to what He told us. I do not think keeping the commandments are the only thing that is important, there is much more to being a Christian (Christlike) but it is the foundation of our love for God and each other.

God Bless

Hi thanks for the reply.

God does not hallow his rest above his work .Each day is considered holy (and it was good.)

Read both rendering of the same commandment have different reasoning parables .

In Deuteronomy we remember not by the seventh day but day he led them out the first day of the new calendar . He set up a ceremonial shadow of the eternal rest we will receive in the new heaven and earth .

Today we can enter the temporal rest if we mix faith in what we do hear or see the temporal things, again as a shadow as long as today is today under the Sun. (Hebrews4)

We can work the work of sabbath God with us according to the true fast which is sharing our bread, clothing the naked, comforting those not comforted by the gospel But it is not something we can judge one another with.

Deuteronomy 5:15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day.

Like any other what some call "sign gifts" the shadow of the rest is not evidence a person has the Holy Spirit, as self edifying. I did it, it proves it.

The faithless Jews performed the shadow in that way . Do a work we can see then we will beleive. Turning things upside down seeking after lying wonder and not faith the unseen eternal

John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

John 6:30They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

John 6:30They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?

Each day is not equal or "holy" but lets see what the scripture says.

Genesis 1
Day 1
3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day. (Missing text Holy, Rest, Blessed)

Day 2

6 Then God said, “Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.” 7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.(Missing text Holy, Rest, Blessed)

Day 3
9 Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day. (Missing text Holy, Rest, Blessed)

Day 4
14 Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16 Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day. (Missing text Holy, Rest, Blessed)

Day 5
20 Then God said, “Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens.” 21 So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
(Missing text Holy, Rest, Blessed)

Day 6

24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. (Missing text Holy, Rest, Blessed)

7th day
Genesis 2

Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. 2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. Found the missing words not used in days 1-6

From creation God separated His seventh day. Good is not the same as Holy. Also what else did He do on the seventh day? He rested. He worked six days and did not work on day seven, instead He blessed that day and sanctified it (made Holy)

Like the 4th commandment states as well.

I am not the one you have to answer to. The scripture is there. Sabbath is forever, the day from creation, the day Jesus kept, the day we will worship in heaven. You can try to convivence yourself Gods Holy day from creation is a shadow, but God is the one we have to answer to as why we FORGOT His Sabbath day to keep Holy when He asked us to REMEMBER.

God Bless

And How does your temple school change that fact that the Sabbath was instituted as a memorial to creation?

It relates to the fact that The Sabbath is included in The Sabbaths.

Leviticus 23
Easy-to-Read Version
The Special Festivals
23 The Lord said to Moses, 2 “Tell the Israelites: You will announce the Lord’s chosen festivals as holy meetings. These are my special festivals.

Sabbath
3 “Work for six days, but the seventh day, the Sabbath, will be a special day of rest, a holy meeting. You must not do any work. It is a day of rest to honor the Lord in all your homes.

Catechism For Jewish Children
By Isaac Leeser.

Appendix I
The Ceremonial Law
1. What is the Ceremonial Law?

The duties which the law of God as revealed through Moses demands of us, the Israelites, in particular, as the professors of its religion.

2. Upon what is this Law founded?

Upon the history of the Mosaic Religion, and of the people of Israel before and since the promulgation of the Ten Commandments from Sinai.

3. What is the object of the ceremonies?

The constant observance of the ceremonies is intended to remind us perpetually of the events upon which they are founded, and to cause their being handed over to our children after us, to the latest generations.

"Remember his miracles that He hath done, his wonders and the Judgments of his mouth. O ye seed of Israel, his servants; the children of Jacob, his chosen people. He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth. Remember ye his covenant for ever; the word which He commanded to a thousand generations. Which He covenanted with Abraham, and likewise his oath unto Isaac. And he confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant." Ps. cv. 5-10.

4. Which are the principal events of which the Ceremonial Law is to remind us?

The following three:

First, The Exodus, or removal, of our forefathers from Egypt.
Second, The Divine Revelation, and the promulgation of the Law on Sinai.
Third, The destruction of the temple at Jerusalem, and of the kingdom of Israel.

5. What observances are to remind us of the Exodus?

First, The Sabbath day, regarded as the sign of the covenant of the manifestation of God's power in Egypt.

"And remember that thou were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence, through a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day." Deut. v. 15.

Second, Several others of the festivals.

6. Which are these festivals?

First, The Passover, or the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Secondly, The Feast of Tabernacles.

7. What is the Passover?

Seven days every year we are commanded to eat unleavened bread, to the exclusion of all ordinary bread, or things made of or mixed with corn, in memory of the mighty wonders wrought in our favor, when we were redeemed from Egypt.

"Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even before the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses.--And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for on this self-same day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt; therefore shall ye observe this day, throughout your generations, as an ordinance for ever." Exod. xii. 15, 17.

8. Which of the seven days are, properly speaking, strict festivals, when no work can be done?

The first and the seventh; but also the second is kept as a day of abstinence from labor, likewise an additional, or eighth day; the same is the case with other festivals, at which the Israelites out of Palestine have, for many hundred years, kept an additional day, beyond the period absolutely commanded in the law.

"And on the first day there shall be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation to you; no manner of work shall be done on them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done by you." Exod. xii. 16.

9. At what time is the Passover to be kept?

In the first month, or Nissan,* from the fourteenth to the twenty-first day of the month.

"In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even." Ibid. 18.

*The names of the Hebrew months, as now in use, are, the 1st, Nissan; 2d, Iyar; 3rd, Sivan; 4th, Tamuz; 5th, Ab; 6th, Elul; 7th, (the first of the usual or civil year) Tishry; 8th, Marcheshvan, or Heshvan; 9th, Kislev; 10th, Tebeth; 11th, Shebat; 12th, Adar; in the leap year, the last-named is called Adar Reeshon, first Adar, and the 13th month Veadar, Adar Sheny, or Second Adar.

10. What is the Feast of Tabernacles?

We shall dwell seven days every year in booths, tents, or tabernacles, in memory of the going out of our forefathers from Egypt, when they sojourned for forty years in the wilderness of Arabia, and lived in temporary dwellings, and not in cities or regularly-build houses.

"Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths. In order that your generations may know, that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." Lev. xxiii. 42, 43.

11. At what time is this Feast kept?

From the fourteenth day of the seventh month, Tishry, until the twenty-second day. The fifteenth of the month is the commencement, and the twenty-second the conclusion, of the feast, and both are to be devoted to abstinence from labor, and dedicated to divine worship and rejoicing at the holy season of the Lord.

"And the Lord spoke unto Moses, as follows, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord. On the first day shall be a holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work thereon. Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord; on the eighth day shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall make an offering made by fire unto the Lord; it is a solemn assembly, and ye shall do no servile work thereon." Lev. 23:33-36.

12. What other laws are founded upon the going out of Egypt?

The prohibitions concerning the use of many animals used as food by other men. For by the redemption from Egypt God intended to raise up our nation as a people holy to his service, and that we should receive the laws which He wished to declare as his will; and the prohibitions of certain meats should prevent the Israelites from mixing too intimately with other nations, and becoming gradually like them, forgetful of the law of Heaven.

"For I am the Lord your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and be holy, for I am holy; neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God; ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy." Lev. xi. 44, 45.

"Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean;--and have separated you from other nations, that you should be mine." Ibid. xx. 25, 26.

13. What ordinances are founded upon the Revelation and Announcement of the Law on Sinai?

a. The Pentecost, or Feast of Weeks.
b. The blowing of the Shofar, and the New Year Festival.
c. The Day of Atonement.
d. The reading of the Shemang
e. The Tephillin
f. The Mezuzah; and
g. The Tzitzith.

14. What is the Pentecost?

Seven weeks after the first day of Passover we shall celebrate a feast in memory of the descent of the divine glory, and the public announcement of the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai.

"Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee; from the time thou begin to put the sickle to the corn, begin to number the seven weeks. Then shalt thou keep the feast of weeks unto the Lord thy God." Deut. xvi. 9, 10.

15. When should we celebrate this Feast of Weeks?

On the sixth day of the third month, or Sivan, which day is to be kept holy unto the Lord, by abstinence from labor, and consecration to divine worship.

"In the third month after the children of Israel had gone forth out of the land of Egypt, the same day they came unto the wilderness of Sinai." Exod. xix. 1.

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Deuteronomy 5
New Revised Standard Version

5 Moses convened all Israel, and said to them:

Hear, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances that I am addressing to you today; you shall learn them and observe them diligently. 2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Horeb. 3 Not with our ancestors did the Lord make this covenant, but with us, who are all of us here alive today. 4 The Lord spoke with you face to face at the mountain, out of the fire.

The big Ten was given to Israel, not gentiles. As you can see below The Sabbath was not imposed on the Church that were Gentiles. Romans 14 and history shows us that the early church worshiped on any day one choose to.

Acts 15:1-35
Easy-to-Read Version
The Meeting at Jerusalem
15 Then some men came to Antioch from Judea and began teaching the non-Jewish believers: “You cannot be saved if you are not circumcised as Moses taught us.” 2 Paul and Barnabas were against this teaching and argued with these men about it. So the group decided to send Paul, Barnabas, and some others to Jerusalem to talk more about this with the apostles and elders.

3 The church helped them get ready to leave on their trip. The men went through the countries of Phoenicia and Samaria, where they told all about how the non-Jewish people had turned to the true God. This made all the believers very happy. 4 When the men arrived in Jerusalem, the apostles, the elders, and the whole church welcomed them. Paul, Barnabas, and the others told about all that God had done with them. 5 Some of the believers in Jerusalem had belonged to the Pharisees. They stood up and said, “The non-Jewish believers must be circumcised. We must tell them to obey the Law of Moses!”

6 Then the apostles and the elders gathered to study this problem. 7 After a long debate, Peter stood up and said to them, “My brothers, I am sure you remember what happened in the early days. God chose me from among you to tell the Good News to those who are not Jewish. It was from me that they heard the Good News and believed. 8 God knows everyone, even their thoughts, and he accepted these non-Jewish people. He showed this to us by giving them the Holy Spirit the same as he did to us. 9 To God, those people are not different from us. When they believed, God made their hearts pure. 10 So now, why are you putting a heavy burden[a] around the necks of the non-Jewish followers of Jesus? Are you trying to make God angry? We and our fathers were not able to carry that burden. 11 No, we believe that we and these people will be saved the same way—by the grace of the Lord Jesus.”

12 Then the whole group became quiet. They listened while Paul and Barnabas told about all the miraculous signs and wonders that God had done through them among the non-Jewish people. 13 When they finished speaking, James said, “My brothers, listen to me. 14 Simon Peter has told us how God showed his love for the non-Jewish people. For the first time, God accepted them and made them his people. 15 The words of the prophets agree with this too:

16 ‘I will return after this.
I will build David’s house again.
It has fallen down.
I will build again the parts of his house that have been pulled down.
I will make his house new.
17 Then the rest of the world will look for the Lord God—
all those of other nations who are my people too.
The Lord said this.
And he is the one who does all these things.’

18 ‘All this has been known from the beginning of time.’

19 “So I think we should not make things hard for those who have turned to God from among the non-Jewish people. 20 Instead, we should send a letter telling them only the things they should not do:

Don’t eat food that has been given to idols. This makes the food unclean.

Don’t be involved in sexual sin.

Don’t eat meat from animals that have been strangled or any meat that still has the blood in it.

21 They should not do any of these things, because there are still men in every city who teach the Law of Moses. The words of Moses have been read in the synagogue every Sabbath day for many years.”

The Letter to the Non-Jewish Believers
22 The apostles, the elders, and the whole church wanted to send some men with Paul and Barnabas to Antioch. The group decided to choose some of their own men. They chose Judas (also called Barsabbas) and Silas, men who were respected by the believers. 23 The group sent the letter with these men. The letter said:

From the apostles and elders, your brothers,

To all the non-Jewish brothers in the city of Antioch and in the countries of Syria and Cilicia.

Dear Brothers:

24 We have heard that some men have come to you from our group. What they said troubled and upset you. But we did not tell them to do this. 25 We have all agreed to choose some men and send them to you. They will be with our dear friends, Barnabas and Paul. 26 Barnabas and Paul have given their lives to serve our Lord Jesus Christ. 27 So we have sent Judas and Silas with them. They will tell you the same things. 28 We agree with the Holy Spirit that you should have no more burdens, except for these necessary things:

29 Don’t eat food that has been given to idols.

Don’t eat meat from animals that have been strangled or any meat that still has the blood in it.

Don’t be involved in sexual sin.

If you stay away from these, you will do well.

We say goodbye now.

30 So Paul, Barnabas, Judas, and Silas left Jerusalem and went to Antioch. There they gathered the group of believers together and gave them the letter. 31 When the believers read it, they were happy. The letter comforted them. 32 Judas and Silas, who were also prophets, said many things to encourage the believers and make them stronger in their faith. 33 After Judas and Silas stayed there for a while, they left. They received a blessing of peace from the believers. Then they went back to those who had sent them. 34 [c]

35 But Paul and Barnabas stayed in Antioch. They and many others taught the believers and told other people the Good News about the Lord.

All this has ben gone over and over. The 10 was given to the Jews who were supposed to take it to the world and did not. It was also given to the mixed multitude and any follower of God. Thou shalt not kill is not for Jews only, neither is the rest of the 10 for Jews only. That is a totally ridiculous statement . No gentile is free to commit adultery and enter heaven. If you think the 10 do not aply to you and you can ignore them and enter into the presence of God you will be sadly mistaken. You are free to do as you wish.

And How does your temple school change that fact that the Sabbath was instituted as a memorial to creation?

The Mysterious Origins of the Sabbath

"Although God had already sanctified the seventh day at the time of creation, he did not reveal its special status to humankind at large, but only to his people Israel. Thus, Israel’s observance of the Sabbath underscored its special relationship with God."

Shabbat in the Bible | My Jewish Learning

The Sabbath was set up as a day of worship to Israel related to the Exodus.

And tol the mixed multitude and to anyone following God. Do as you please but quite trying to convince yourself that you do so out some sort of profound knowledge of God's agenda. Sin is sin whether you are Jew or Gentile---not exactly rocket science. What is sin? Look it up, the bible says what it is and you know what it is. That only the Jew can be held accountable for sin is ridiculous beyond comprehension.

God Bless

Again the word rest is not a time sensitive word .There would be no reason to try and make it one and change the meaning .

Anytime we hear his voice and mix it with faith we have receive a portion of the eternal rest. it is God who makes our hearts soft in that way making our load lighter as we do rest with him.

That rest is long is as today is today, or under the Sun the temporal . It is not associated with the shadow of the eternal rest or ceremonial law (a fast)that could never make perfect .but stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances.

As sons of God which we are we know not what we will be . We will receive the eternal rest when we receive the promise of our new incorruptible bodies.

We do have one day set aside that we can do the good work getting out the gospel (the true fast) which again looks to be fulfilled in our new bodies.

Again, Again, again---God made it time sensitive with the addition of the word---7th day!!! To remove that word changes the whole thing!! God said it, and that is, as far as I'm concerned, the end of it! God is very specific---when He told Naaman to bathe 7 times in the river, he was not cleansed until the 7th time. When He added a number to the word Yom (day) that makes it a specific day. When Elijah prayed that it not rain for 3 years, it did not rain for 3 years, when God gives a specific date for something to happen, it will happen on that date. God says what He means and means what He says.

The seventh day Sabbath is time sensitive. It's a date (seventh day) and time (sunset Friday to sunset Saturday) God is very specific about this and while I can't make you hear what is plainly written (mind you by the hand of God) that will be a discussion Jesus will have with all of us when He comes.

God commandments are eternal. Jesus and His disciples kept Sabbath and the commandments of God. It was so important to Jesus to keep seventh day Sabbath He rested in the tomb on the seventh day and important for Mary to keep the Sabbath, Mary didn't visit until Sabbath was over Luke23:56 Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant oils. And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment.

Is it okay to kill, covet, lie, worship false gods, vain His name, cheat why would not keeping His Sabbath be any different?

Jesus tells us the Sabbath was made for all of us doesn't sounds like a shadow to me unless Jesus got it wrong, which is not the case.

- And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
- Mark 2:27

We will be keeping Sabbath in Heaven Isaiah 66:23

We should pray that in the last days that we don't have to run for the hills on Sabbath because it wouldn't be a joyful Sabbath to be fleeing for your life. Matthew 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day (THE SABBATH DAY, like the commandment, time sensitive not a shadow)

The commandments of God are so important to Him we are told its how you get to know God. The 4th commandment, seventh day Sabbath is especially how you know God because that is His Blessed day. The day we are to rest and keep Holy. I get to know Him on this day by going to church, reading the Bible, praying and drawing closer to Him 24 hours each week on the day He asked us to REMEMBER. Not going to Home deport, running errands, watching sports, this is the Lords day He sanctified and asked us to keep Holy. We are told we do not know Him if we do not keep His commandments 1 John 2:3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Jesus says we show our love to God by keeping His commandments John 14:15 records Jesus teaching His disciples, "If you love Me, keep My commandments. John 14:21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” 1 John 5:3 "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome"

There is even a special blessing for those who keep His commandments

Revelations 22 12-15
Jesus Testifies to the Churches
12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

So in summary God Blessed the seventh day Sabbath from creation, He commanded and wrote for
us to rest on the seventh day and keep His Sabbath Holy and asked us not to forget, Jesus and His disciples kept Sabbath, Jesus said Sabbath was mad for man (all) we will worship Him
on Sabbath in Heaven, keeping Sabbath is how we know God and show Him our love and a blessing to those who keep His commandments until the end.

So you can keep thinking the Sabbath is a shadow but the scriptures disagree. This is a very important subject and I don't think anyone should take lightly. Please pray on it for guidance. Our God is very merciful and He saves us though grace, but the Bible is very clear it is important keeping the commandments of God, which includes His seventh day Sabbath.

God Bless

Again, Again, again---God made it time sensitive with the addition of the word---7th day!!! To remove that word changes the whole thing!! God said it, and that is, as far as I'm concerned, the end of it! God is very specific---when He told Naaman to bathe 7 times in the river, he was not cleansed until the 7th time. God says what He means and means what He says.

I don't think we are discussing Naaman's seven or Elijah's 3.Seven represent complete or perfect. Three denoted the end of a matter.

The word rest is a non time sensitive word. No one is removing it but rather defining it.

Genesis provide most of the foundations of doctrines of Christ.

Like assigning the first day to bring to our memory. God did assign the seventh day to remember he ceased from creating all the rudiments of this world which became corrupted when he did the work of corrupted it.. And he increased the load as the wage of sin, the living sufferings of hell. . Giving some men like born again Abel a temporal rest who were yoked with Him making the load bearable .. . called today

Cain the atheist saw no value in the unseen things of God .He murdered his brother Abel the first martyr. and plowed him under in the field to establish the pagan foundation. Out of sight out of mind, a fool.(no God in his heart)

When revealed the load would be increased Cain replied he could not bear it .

Only those yoked with Christ could bear it as long as today is today and they do not harden their hearts like Cain .

Cain became a restless (no sabbath) wanderer as a marked man. He wanted to die but God who is a man of His word informed him if any man would kill Cain to make his load (life sentence) lighter he would provide the same living sufferings without rest sabbath (hell ) to them .

The eternal rest. . no one has received it yet. We are still in our earthen bodies of death and still under the sun. We receive a shadow of that rest if we mix faith the unseen with the temporal seen, the gospel .

Genesis
4: 12;15 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear. Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. And the Lord said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the Lord set a mark upon Cain,(666) lest any finding him should kill him.

In effect saying; Mark my word it will accomplish the good purpose of my will by which I sent it.

I don't know how many times it has to be said, when a number is used before the word---it becomes time sensitive---that is not my OPINION, it is Jewish writing fact. A number before the word Yom, designates a certain time.

"The Hebrew word for day is yom and this word appears in Scriptures over 1400 times. And without exception this word, when written in the singular sense, means day. And that's it. Never anything else. Eons are indicated with the plural form: days, as in the days of such and such. The most popular counter argument is that the meaning of our word is fiercely restricted to 'day' for about a thousand times in the sequential Scriptures, but in the secluded chapter of Genesis 1 means something completely different! But honestly, if in Genesis 1 our word should have meant 'long time' it would have said 'long time'. There are words available in Hebrew that mean just that. None of which occur in Genesis 1.
The word as used in Genesis 1 means day and day alone. There's no way around it, and every serious theory to make (systematic, not theological) sense out of Genesis 1 should first and foremost address the yom-problem.
A yom therefore is a phase of a continuum (whether space-time, complexity or something else) that consists of two periods: a 'dark' part and a 'light' part. During the dark part of a regular day people sleep and are disconnected. During the light part they communicate and work together. Any other manifestation of yom should display the same kind of darkness (elements not connected) and lightness (elements connected).

The word for DAY in Gen. 1 is different from the word for DAY in Gen 2
Yom is 24 hours Beyom is an age----which makes perfect sense in as much as Adam and Eve did not die in that 24 hour period---but in an age--in this case, over 900 years later."

And nowhere in the bible does it say that the mark of Cain was the number 666. As in 777 which stands for God and perfection---666 is man. Makes no sense to label a man a man!
This has been explained sufficiently---if you wish to disregard the Jewish language that is your problem. I will not address this issue one more time!! Believe whatever you want.
