Who verified that the statements were false? Did they have real time "fact checkers"? Who decides when to cut off a politician when he's speaking and what is the criteria for doing it?

Then they're not NEWS agencies. Sad. That's not to say their editorial people and can't challenge him later on the air and give their opinions but the President of the United States has spoken at a high point time of importance in American history, where THE PEOPLE want to know what he has to say....and they censor him.
And sadly am I too understand that many year agree with this? I would NEVER, EVER side in with Biden being censored at such an important time as this either. For people who take delight in this maybe you could ask yourself the question....are you giving a thumbs up to 1984 as George Orwell's book described? Please consider it.

My guess would be the people who own the show it's being broadcast on.
Probably when the politician starts lying so much it would be irresponsible to let them continue.

Or they are a news agency and not an arm of the President Trump reelection committee. If the President wanted to push his propaganda he should have bought time on the networks and then he could say whatever he wanted to say.

Well...he's not actually being censored, they're simply correcting the lies that he's telling, the problem is there's only so many hours in the day so they probably had a cut off to rebut the stuff he was saying and they simply reached the place where they knew that if they were going to correct the misinformation they were going to have to have a cut off time. Just a guess.
...are you saying President Trump is "Big Brother"? Because isn't that the point of 1984? The government determines what truth is, so if the leader starts telling a lie it automatically become "the truth"? Because that would be a more accurate idea about 1984.Which, I have to be honest, sounds more like what President Trump was trying to do rather than all those people cutting him off mid misinformation spray.

He's the President of the United States. I'd say the nation deserved to hear what he had to say at this most important moment. Instead the media put a bag over the head of THE PEOPLE...THE PEOPLE and refused to let them know what he had to say at this very important moment. And what....irresponsible to put it out and let THE PEOPLE decide themselves? Why do they feel they need to be indoctrination centres? Is that what you want to put your stamp of approval on?

No they're NOT a new agency. They're indoctrination centres period. A news agency would report BREAKING NEWS what they President of the United States says about this most important time. They'd let the people decide. Oh well if people are willing to sign on and agree with acts like found in the writing of 1984 then I guess that's finally where we've arrived. Keep in mind it may take the nation 30-40 years to come out of it in fact it may never will. Legacies of each one of this society are about to be set. Did you approve...or rise up and say NO. What type of people will we be remembered to be?

They're free to decide what they will or won't allow on their networks. What's more sad is people are more upset that they stopped the flow of the Presidents misinformation he was spaying than that he was spraying misinformation. You don't like it? feel free to switch channels to somewhere that doesn't stop the spraying. It's not like there aren't a lot of different channels people could switch too.

All the networks. At the same time. As if on cue. Suddenly a politician lying is too harsh for the ears of the public.
Sounds like the next step after caveating "without evidence" when someone makes a claim someone else doesn't like hearing. All the networks. At the same time. As if on cue.

Sure they can, that you don't like the fact that they fact checked him in real time doesn't change the fact that news agencies, again, aren't there to be arms of a candidates propaganda machine which means that they take their job seriously. So if he wants to spew falsehoods, let him buy airtime like the home shopping network guys do. And people can tune in to watch him. What he was doing wasn't "news", it was him trying to get some free advertising in. Kind of like those "pandemic press conferences" he used to replace his rallies with. Particularly when he kicked all the adults off the stage so they wouldn't say things he didn't like.

If we do a little fact checking we find that multiple networks are engaging in censorship. When they pull the plug on something and do not let people hear it, it's censorship. Just like the widespread censorship of Hunter Biden's emails. The press is deciding what they want people to know and what they don't want people to know.

Again, if he wants to do an infomercial about how picked on he is, than he should buy time on the networks and feel free to make all the obviously false claims he wants. Seems like an easy enough fix. Maybe he could work out a special deal, like for every 3 lies he tells that you believe you get a free copy of Don jr's book?

Why was it that Adam Schiff wasn't cut off in the middle of an interview on live television when he said the Hunter Biden emails were Russian disinformation? It was an intentional lie, offered with no evidence whatsoever, but he was allowed to continue with it.
The whole thing seems a little one-sided. Who established the criteria for when someone is cut off and not allowed to speak?

In the case of Trump being cut off Thursday night, it had to do with him making false accusations concerning the election, and not a speech about the nation in general.
If anything, I'm wondering after Biden is declared the winner, if Trump should be removed from office via the 25th amendment, as he could cause much damage to the nation out of his uncontrolled anger ?
If Trump doesn't start acting like an adult, I have serious concerns about him finishing out his final term in office.
