• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. I'm really losing my faith. Does anyone have any advice that can help me get my faith back? I'm really struggling with the voices. I keep thinking that I'm going to hell and there is no way out.

I'm really feeling paranoid. I'm afraid of the future. I keep thinking I'm going to die in a terrible way and then afterward will go to hell, and hell is forever and ever.

Just remember that God really loves you and Jesus died for you because He loves you and wants you to go to Heaven.

Do read it and discuss it with your therapist/doctor.

Remember your salvation is entirely in Jesus's hands, he saved you and he sustains you.
He also knows and understands your illness he will not condem you for what your illness causes you to say or do.

Thank you all for the helpful advice. For some reason no matter how much positive and loving advice I get, I keep believing in the evil voice. No matter how many people tell me God loves me, I just keep thinking he hates me. I feel like Saul in the Old Testament. He was given an evil spirit to torment him and I feel the same way. I feel like it's God's wrath sometimes.

The good advice does help sometimes because I can always look back at all the threads and comments and see all the love and it does feel good to try to believe that God loves me.

@SnowTiger you can resist those lies and not believe them. Just consciously. Say I don’t believe it and take them captive. God told me to just say captive and they keep flowing right out of consciousness to do no harm. People normally make weak beginnings when they start something new and just keep getting stronger and stronger. It is up to you to believe it. 2cor10:3-5
