Do you see any spiritual parallels between your walk with the Lord,
and the testimony of Joshua?
1 Corinthians 10:11. Now all these things happened to them as examples, and
they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
Romans 15:4. For whatever things were written before were written for our learning,
that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
The Lord Has Given You An Inheritance.
Joshua 23:
3. You have seen all that the Lord your God has done to all these nations because
of you, for the Lord your God is He who has fought for you.
4 See, I have divided for you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance
for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, as far as the
Great Sea westward.
5 And the Lord your God will expel them from before you and drive them out of
your sight. So you shall possess their land, as the Lord your God promised you.
The Lord Gives You Rest and Peace
Joshua 21:
44 The Lord gave them rest all around, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers.
And not a man of all their enemies stood against them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45 Not a word failed of any good thing which the Lord had spoken to the house of Israel.
All came to pass.
The Lord Breaks The Spirit Of Your Enemies
Joshua 5:1. So it was, when all the kings of the Amorites who were on the west side of
the Jordan, and all the kings of the Canaanites who were by the sea, heard that the Lord
had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had
crossed over, that their heart melted; and there was no spirit in them any longer because
of the children of Israel.
The Lord Has Given You Memorials
Joshua 4:
4 Then Joshua called the twelve men whom he had appointed from the children of Israel,
one man from every tribe;
5 and Joshua said to them: Cross over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and each one of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel,
6 that this may be a sign among you when your children ask in time to come, saying, What do these stones mean to you?
7 Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.
1 Peter 3:15. But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is
in you, with meekness and fear.
