Any singles in their 60s?

I know this is not a "dating" site and I'm relieved. I've been on dating sites. They are infested with scammers and I hate them. I'm am a woman approaching 60 who has been single for several years. I will either remain so for the rest of my life or God will bring another companion to me. However, I believe in not only praying for the desire of ones heart but also taking action when the Holy Spirit prompts me to. So, I post a humble introduction. May God bless all singles of any age in their prayers and as they seek His will for their lives.

I qualify, just. 69 right now, no prospects and little interest. I believe I probably should marry because of my calling, but it just seems such hard work to find anyone remotely suitable. And who could put up with me........

I get it. After being alone for so many years you get set in your ways. It's scary to break in a new routine. I would settle at this point for a gentleman pen pal and see where God takes things from there.

Hey wassup ,my biggest problem seems to be that I sometimes like acting like a teenager. I like some of the music , I still like to dance , I’d be doing more art stuff if the Covid wasn’t around . I also don’t mind being a homebody at times . Working on a video , quilting , trying (but not succeeding) at keeping up with the scientific community (way too much information) . My grandmother was a great role model for how to get old . I used to think that song The Little Old Lady from Pasadena was like her even though she never learned how to drive.
I get bored with myself if I get too set in my ways . First thing I do is try a new recipe . Then I explore a new science right now I’m trying to get a decent grasp (high school level)of particle physics even though I’ve got a biology degree. I’ll try a new art form or reactivate an old one( working on my atrocious ballet technique) . All of these are just familiar enough to not be scary but they’re different. Once I start making these baby steps I start doing bigger steps . Which is why I’m making videos

I was a homebody before covid. I only go out to run errands or take walks with my dog. I get up early every morning, sometimes around 4 AM to study the Bible, sometimes for hours before tackling my housework. I enjoy word search puzzles and binge watching good British serials.

Homebody stuff , yeah I’m a homebody but I do get bored with that . Usually music will push that . Backstreet Boys Larger Than Life had me dancing in the street this morning.

60 and been single for 10 years. Not looking. I realize I have never enjoyed sharing my living space with anyone. I enjoy company but just a few hours here and there. The thought of living with someone 24x7 is claustrophobic. I am also an introvert. I like a lot of solitude and don't care to talk a lot. Some conversation is good but the day to day talk gets old quickly. I've been diagnosed with Attachment Disorder and Social Anxiety if you believe in such things. I think people like me keep an ongoing dialog going in our minds that replaces the need for actual conversation or at least as much of it. I've never needed much affection perhaps due to growing up without it. Other than concern about having health problems while home alone, there is nothing else that attracts me to marriage. That is not a knock on marriage as marriage is God's divine creation. I just know that I am happiest living alone. I have many good women friends whose company I enjoy at times but I don't need romance or companionship.

I'm not quite there at 60. I'm 58 and I thank God for that. I'm single by choice. I knew that marriage wasn't for me when I was in my 20's but I didn't know why. I had a lot of sorting out to do and glad I did. I made the right choice for me. I enjoy life and the variety that comes with it. I have several word search puzzle books also and I can do Sudoko for hours lol. The Covid lock down hasn't really bothered me because I know how to occupy my time and I've collected some really good resources over the years. Not to mention I've got chocolate, so I'm good!

I'm single and over 60. I was married for 28 yrs and enjoyed it but I'm a failure at monogamy. So I just have GFs now and they know I've got no plans to get married. This has worked very good for over 8 yrs now. I get the alone time I want and I get the socializing and intimacy that I want as well.
