Maybe it's a difficulty, illness, or hardship. Or perhaps it's a season where things are going good and you're happy and life is blessed. Either way, this is what the apostle Peter wrote:

"Simon Peter, a bondservant and apostle of Jesus Christ,

To those who have obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." (1 Peter 1:1-4)

Your challenge is to post a verse or promise from God's Word that correlates with what you are experiencing at this moment in your life.

The verse that holds out the most promise, not just for me and what I’m facing, but for the whole world of mankind, is this:

Matt 6:10 “Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth.”

This messianic kingdom government, under the kingship of Jesus Christ will very soon remove all human rulership along with all the harm it has done, and will be the only government left ruling over the entire earth.

Dan 2:44 “In the days of those kings (Our day) the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed. And this kingdom will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever,

This government will remove all sickness, suffering and even death. It will provide everything mankind could possibly need including endless life and perfect happiness.

Rev 21:3,4 “With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

A beautiful incite into this righteous Kingdom government and the miraculous things it will accomplish on earth can be found here:

What Is God’s Kingdom?

The Bible’s answer could change your entire outlook.

Be safe and well,

My habit is seeking specific promises from God for personal situations because I don't like investing faith without them. It's too precious and I've seen from others how that can be damaging. Also I note Abraham first received a promise, and then believed the LORD (Genesis 15:6). So without specific promises, I trust his character instead.

John 3:18 ESV Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

Since I don't believe anymore I guess the promise I'm facing from God is condemnation, thanks God!

Yes,Our ultimate promise and hope for the future is in Jesus.

Indeed, and in the Kingdom he taught us to pray for at Matthew 6:9-10.

As King of that righteous government he will fulfill all of GOd's promises to mankind and give us an earth without sickness, hunger, war, crime, homelessness and even death.

Isaiah 33:24 "And no resident* will say: “I am sick.” The people dwelling in the land will be pardoned for their error."

Isaiah 25:8 "“At that time the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. At that time the lame will leap like the deer, and the tongue of the speechless will shout for joy.

Psalms 72:16 "There will come to be plenty of grain on the earth; On the top of the mountains there will be an overflow."

Psalms 46:9 "He is bringing an end to wars throughout the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the military wagons* with fire."

Isaiah 65:21-22 "And they will certainly build houses and have occupancy;+ and they will certainly plant vineyards and eat [their] fruitage. They will not build and someone else have occupancy; they will not plant and someone else do the eating. For like the days of a tree will the days of my people be;+ and the work of their own hands my chosen ones will use to the full.

Revelation 21:3-4 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them.+ 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes,+ and death will be no more,+ neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.+ The former things have passed away.”

Good times just ahead. > https://www.jw.org/en/library/magaz...20-may-jun/what-will-gods-kingdom-accomplish/

Maybe it's a difficulty, illness, or hardship.
In difficult times, I like this promise: "It shall come to pass."

Not, "It shall come to stay," but, "It shall come to pass!"

PRAISE THE LORD!

As the Word of God is in the very foundation of Life itSelf, even a Leaf can share the Mystery.
The only leaves I'm interested in are the pages of the Bible.

I understand. But from my perspective you might be missing the Life Force of God within Life itSelf and what it has to teach us. But than again, I'm not able to bound up God into a book either.

Convince me.

That's New Age gobbledygook.

In fact, it's downright Satanic.

Daniel 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

That's because you weren't one of the ones chosen by Him to write His autobiography.

If I turn my back on the sun,
I have my shadow before me.

If I stand * facing * the sun,
I have my shadow behind me.

I see a likeness in this with Ezekiel 18:21-23

As the Word of God is in the very foundation of Life itSelf, even a Leaf can share the Mystery.

Indeed, we can learn much about God from the book of nature/creation, so that even a leaf has something to say about him.

Romans 1:19-20
"because what may be known about God is clearly evident among them, for God made it clear to them. For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.

Psalms 104:24
"How many your works are, O Jehovah! You have made all of them in wisdom. The earth is full of what you have made.

Was It Designed?

Meh, the man-made pages of a bible (or any decent book) are nice, but they're no match for leaves that were designed and created by God Himself:

"For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made." (Romans 1:20, emphasis mine)
Back to the main question in the OP:

Song of Solomon 6:3 would correlate with what I have been experiencing over the past couple of years up to now: "I am my Beloved's and my Beloved is mine;" It's complicated, but I thank my sweet Lord for each and every aspect of it.

Hi RayJeena,

I would most certainly agree that the creation can tell us much about God, but there is much it cannot tell us. For example, creation, as you rightly say and quote from the bible, can tell us and demonstrate much about the person of God, his wonderful qualities such as his love, wisdom and power, but there is much it cant tell us.

Creation is a most wonderful book to read, but it only goes so far in satisfying our need to know. It doesn't provide the answers to some of mankind's most asked questions.
  • What is God's personal name?
  • What is his purpose for the earth and mankind?
  • Why are we here and were are we going?
  • Why is there suffering in the world and will it ever end?
  • Why do we grow old, get sick and die?
  • Will we ever see our dead loved ones again?
  • Is living forever on the earth really possible? And many more.
We will not find the answers to these most important questions in creation itself, but only in the pages of the bible.

The bible's answers to these questions may surprise you. > https://www.jw.org/en/library/books/bible-study/

I agree that there is much to learn from sacred texts that speak of God, including the Bible, with which I'm very familiar. While they may not all agree on all the details across the board (and in many cases even within themselves), the overall point seems to be that there is a God (or that whom we call "God"), that we keep going after our physical bodies go kaput, and that Love is All. I know (based on how I felt about it during my avidly-Christian past) that what I'm saying sounds like rather disappointing, lovey-dovey, new-agey word-salad, but I also believe that human language has a very hard time effectively conveying all that our Sweet Lord is about.
